Pop Quiz for Anti-gunners

Absolutely sterling… print off these “questions” and offer them to anyone who wants any sort of infringement on our self defense rights. Could start a real discussion, once in a while anyway. I intend to post this all over the place. Oh, and how many of those questions can WE answer accurately? I had to look up two of them.

Have you ever fired a gun? (NB: water, cap, BB, paintball and fingers
are not acceptable)

How many guns have you seen become violent? If your answer acknowledges an individual is necessary to operate the weapon, why, then, are you using the term “gun violence” and not “human violence”?

In 25 words or less: What is an “Assault Weapon”? Be specific

(Extra Credit: From Columbine to Newtown, how many involved “Assault Weapons”?)

What is the difference between a “magazine” and a “clip”? Use both in a sentence.

Is a .223 cartridge more or less powerful than the predominant rifle cartridge used by American fighting men in WWII?

(Extra Credit: What was the caliber of the predominant rifle cartridge used in WWII?)

If you had to choose, would you prefer to shot with a .22? .223? 30-06? 00Buck?

(“None of the Above” is an understandable but unacceptable answer)

Why is a black gun more dangerous than one made with differently colored components?

If black guns are bad, isn’t that racist?

How does a bayonet lug make the “assault rifle” more lethal?

(Extra credit: How many drive-by bayonetings occurred in the US last year?)

To the nearest 100,000, how many Assault Rifles are made of Nerf?

Within 10,000, how many times a day do law-abiding gun owners prevent a crime without firing a shot?

Approximately how many gun laws (State and Federal) are in force in America today?

With so many laws already in force, what are the compelling reasons to believe criminals and mass murders will obey the new ones?

If faced with a home invasion, would you want to be holding your phone or your firearm?

About MamaLiberty

As a lifelong individualist and voluntarist, my philosophy can best be summarized here: No human being has the right -- under any circumstances -- to initiate force against another human being, nor to threaten or delegate its initiation. Self defense, and the defense of others, is a basic right of all living creatures. After a long career as a registered nurse in So. Calif, I retired in 2005 to NE Wyoming, living alone in my own log home, with good friends and neighbors all around. Biological family includes two grown sons and five grandchildren, unfortunately still in California. In addition to writing and editing, I garden, sew, cook and bake my own bread from home ground wheat and other grains. Hobbies include identification and cultivation of wild food and herbs. I am also a certified instructor for firearms and self defense. I carry a gun at all times.

Hi, ML – I haven’t been online much, and won’t for a while, having just lost my beloved bride last month and I’m am still up and down trying go get things done here. She was my soul-mate for most of my life and without her things don’t matter so much, But I saw a note you left at Sipsey street and wanted to share a thought with you. Although I’m sure you already know it.
    You said:
“Yes, he shot at the cops… we’re told… and this might be no different than what we envision when “they” come to confiscate our guns. WE DO NOT KNOW what really happened here”
My thought: we must realize taht IF it coems down to the knock on the door and we,assuming it is a home invasion, take out a half dozen bad guys with the proper repsonse, then whether we are taken dead or alive, the marxist media will not tell the truth, that we were defending our lives. Rather, we will be painted as violent people with a history of mental illness, who possessed an ‘armory’ of weapons and thousand of rounds of ammunition, and imaginary neighbors will be interviewed to swear that we were scary / anti-government or Viet nam era vets with PTSD. Then a close up of the news bitches will tell the slack-jawed viewers about the family consisting of little Timmy the handicapped child, Kiki the amputee chihuahua and the grieving diabetic wife in a wheelchair all left behind when their husbands were gunned down by the armed madman / madwoman as they simply tried to do their jobs.
Hey – I’m pretty good, maybe I should take up writing for the bastards!
Stay safe and free. God bless you.

Thanks for posting – and any subsequent distribution. Would love to hear the reaction from anyone who posited the questions to a media maven in their neighborhood.

Outstanding to hear from you! I’ve posted this all over the place, and it will be interesting to see the response.

The “hard core” grabbers wouldn’t even entertain such questions, of course. But I’m thinking of all the people – and they are legion – who have bought at least some of the liberal crap and have never even THOUGHT about most of this. IF a person were willing to even read the questions, you might find an opportunity to help them see the truth through the propaganda.

I’ve had such discussions with many people over the years, and so many have responded positively that I continue to do so. I wrote a book especially for these people… those willing to think about self defense at all. It is called “I Am NOT A Victim,” and the first chapter is the story of the man I had to shoot to save my life. A lot of people start to ask their own questions once they read it…

Here is that first chapter: “The Man I Might Have Killed

I’ll send you one in email.
