Crash of 2009 - Home front
8,753,935: Workers on Disability Set Another Record in July; Exceed Population of 39 States
(CNSNews.com)

A careful analysis of who pays what, as far as voters, taxes, and "free money" from the government shows that another milestone has been or is being passed. It is not just whether or not the electorate NATIONALLY is made up of welfare clients - which many if not most of these "disabled workers" are: suckers of the government nipple, but how it breaks out by state, especially when push comes to shove. Now, here is an interesting question: HOW MANY taxpayers does it take to support these 8.9 million parasites AND the other 5-7 million parasites (the government workers who "manage" these disabled)? Before you lambast me, there is nothing wrong with a legitimate disability, whether it is physical or mental, and it is right and good to care for those who are legitimate and unable to care for themselves - but only when that care is provided voluntarily (or through a family obligation, still essentially voluntary). I don't like the situation (so common in Islamic nations, by the way) of crippled beggars on the street corners with a basket or can for coins - but if the choice is between THAT and having that cripple armed and taking the money from you or me by FORCE - directly OR indirectly, I'll take the "wash your window for a dollar" group and other beggars in a heartbeat.

Actually, like so many other government programs, the subsidies and the payoffs continue LONG after the threat has been neutralized. And will continue to do so.

Hugo Chavez Signals Preference for Obama Re-Election
(CNSNews.com)

A foregone conclusion, no? It reinforces the view of the First Citizen as a Tranzi, essentially the enemy of American ideals and idea. I wonder if he will send troops or election observers to ensure that the First Citizen is re-elected?

TSA: ‘A U.S. Citizen Who Is On The No-Fly List Could Commence Flight Training’
(CNSNews.com)

Don't see why this is a bad thing, especially given the severe problems with the errors in the no-fly list. And that way, they don't endanger all the other passengers in a commercial airliner - they can fly themselves and their little Cessna into most large buildings without a serious impact! (Sarcasm alert!)

ICE Says It Believes 30 More Illegals May Have Attended U.S. Flight Schools
(CNSNews.com)

Actually, the concern is not that ANOTHER 30 went to school, but that they were in the country in the first place. Or should be. But the real question is why and what real threat they pose. I am reminded of the unattributed story of a man who was accosted at a party by a beautiful woman who jumped on him about how she was afraid of him when he was carrying a weapon because he could kill her so easily. He looked her up and down, replying that she said he was a probable murderer just because he had a weapon. She said he was just that! Nobody can be trusted with that kind of weapon and power: they will always misuse it. He grinned, looked her up and down again, and said, "well, you certainly have the equipment to be a very good hooker, so how much?" She slaps him. "What nerve? Just because I have a beautiful body doesn't mean I'm a prostititute." "Well, just because I have a gun doesn't mean I'm a murderer."

Islamic wars: Arab street revolt
Syria says will use chemical weapons if attacked
(CNSNews.com)

Is there anyone stupid enough to think that an Arab regime would hesitate to use chemicals against their own people? Or anything else to send them to Allah more quickly? I am reasonably sure that the main deterrent to them using chemical weapons (but NOT from threatening to use them) against Western forces is the threat of retaliation. And honestly, right now, I am more concerned that the FedGov here in the disUnited States will use chemical weapons against Americans than what the Syrians will do.

Politics 2012 - Home front
Campaign resumes after pause for Colorado shooting
(CNSNews.com)

A strange gesture, which allowed the hoploclasts to be heard readily in the "silence" and which made no sense from EITHER side. If these politicians are not about solving real-world problems (like idiots who are government parasites and shoot up a bunch of innocent movie-goers), then we know why they are doing this: for their own power. It is PRECISELY incidents like this that should cause major debates about the stupidity of gun control - and does among private people. Almost EIGHTY years of stupid gun laws have let things like this happen.

Self defense
New Mexico: Shooting following intrusion
(Taos News)

"Carpenter knocked on the door [of] an unidentified homeowner on Los Alamitos Road, getting the man in a headlock and robbing him of $150 cash and a jar of medical marijuana at gunpoint. Romero said that the homeowner was calling authorities about the intrusion when he heard Carpenter returning to the house. 'The intruder, though a doggie door, displayed a weapon,' Romero said. 'At that point, the owner discharged a high-powered rifle through the steel door, striking the intruder six times in the lower extremities.'" (07/17/12)

Mama's thoughts: This criminal should have quit while he was ahead of the game. But there are some interesting questions about this story... if the intruder was coming through a dog door, how in the world was he hit in the "lower extremities?" A high powered rifle would have drilled the guy from head to rear end, one would think. It's hard to believe this guy was that bad a shot from what had to be close range. As with so many of these stories, too much info is missing.

Nathan's thoughts: It appears the man stuck his weapon through the doggy door, and so the homeowner shot through the steel door (presumably human sized, in which the doggy door was inset). Since the homeowner was an MMJ user, the cops probably didn't take his side willingly.

Self defense
Michigan: Elderly homeowner shoots and kills intruder
(My Fox Detroit)

"Detroit police tell us a man who was likely in his mid 30's is dead because he broke into a home on the city's west side. The homeowner says two men tried to break into his home on Sunday. On Thursday, he heard a noise coming from downstairs. He knew something was not right, so he grabbed his gun to see what was going on and he encountered a stranger he believed was one of the men who tried to rob him before. Police tell us the bad guy had kicked in the front door and walked in but the man of the house was right there and opened fire. One shot to the chest."
(07/19/12)

Mama's thoughts: That's much more like it. :)

Nathan's ideas: Weapons - especially firearms - protect the elderly, the young, the weak, and even the poor: IF we exercise our god-given right to arm ourselves.

Theft by government
Federal Government's Debt Jumps More Than $1T for 5th Straight Fiscal Year

Gun Purchases Denied for Mental Health Reasons Up Almost Sixfold
(CNSNews.com)

Alright, no cops or congressmen get guns any more! Oh, no, we're not talking about THAT kind of mental health problem? Oops! My mistake. Seriously, this is both a logical step and a VERY slippery slope: evaluation of mental conditions is inherently more subjective than physical conditions. This was and is a favorite tactic of dictators worldwide: the people are nuts and can't be trusted to do anything.

Mama's Note: The question really is: Just where do dictators get their authority to "trust" or not trust anyone? They only have it because the majority of the people GIVE it to them - especially when they are "allowed" to elect their dictators. Most people simply do not ever even question that "authority."

Our right to self defense
White House: No New Gun Laws, Use Existing Law to Keep Guns From ‘People Who Should Not Have Them’
(CNSNews.com)

An admirable stance IF (a) this was their real belief (believe me, it ain't), (b) existing laws worked, and (c) it was possible to keep anyone away from guns in the long run. None of this is true, of course: at best, the administration does not want to trigger a very strong response to hoploclastic actions.

Mama's Note: The question that needs to be asked more is where the "White House" or any government body gets the authority to decide any of this, for whatever reasons? They have only the authority the majority of the people are willing to give them, whether they are conscious of it or not.

Clinton at AIDS Conference: ‘Every Woman Should Be Able To Decide When and Whether to Have Children’
(CNSNews.com)

Actually, I agree with this - but NOT in the way she thinks: if you don't want a child, then it is very simple: DO NOT HAVE SEX. There are millions of people who have lived full, fulfilling, and productive lives withOUT ever having sex with someone else. (And probably not with themselves.) And you can even decide when to have a child that way, too. But SHE is not preaching a gospel of personal responsibility. (And, by the way, that is the same way with ADHD and other conditions that are problems because of a failure of parental responsibility and action, where the families now leave it up to government (schools and more) to deal with it.  Liberty is about personal responsibility and NOT about getting something from the government.)

Politics - Congress in action
2012 has more intraparty incumbent battles than ever before
(Washington Post)

No fight may be more vicious than a family fight, and in the family that is Congress, this election year features an extraordinary number of kin-vs.-kin battles in which lawmakers are forced to face off against one another for their political survival.

Do they take special training to be this stupid? Or is it some surgical operation done on them in college? More and more it is obvious that the intraparty AND inter-party squabbles in Congress are mostly theatre, with no more reality than a reality-TV show. The insiders NEVER really lose: they get juicy contracts and board appointments or lobbying jobs and continue to influence and control matters - just passing the title on to another generation or faction that wants light green instead of dark green.

GAO: Debt fight cost at least $1.3 billion
(Washington Post)

Last summer’s fierce political debate over raising the federal debt limit cost taxpayers more than $1 billion in extra borrowing costs, including hundreds of hours in overtime for federal employees responsible for avoiding default, according to a new government report.

Last year's made-up crisis let them spend more money and pay off more buddies - LIKE the overtime to their beloved minions. More theatre, more bogus behavior.

Environmentalists target 5 Republicans who question humans’ impact on climate
(Washington Post)

The League of Conservation Voters will launch a $1.5 million campaign Tuesday targeting five House Republicans who question the connection between human activity and climate change, in an effort to test whether the issue can sway voters.

Wonder who is funding THIS poor excuse for a campaign - as if an average of 300K is a drop in the bucket for a 2012 congressional campaign. I predict this will do nothing measurable, AND that they will claim it made a difference.

Florida: Customs officer pleads guilty to sexual groping
(New Orleans Times-Picayune)

"A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer has pleaded guilty to three civil rights offenses for sexually groping three women at Miami International Airport. Federal prosecutors say the 47-year-old entered the plea Tuesday. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 26 in Ft. Lauderdale. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a fine of up to $300,000." (07/24/12)

Whom did HE tick off? Was he a whistle-blower? Not really a "team player?" Wouldn't put out for a boss? Or is he getting a sweet deal, and the reason sentencing is put off for so long is so they can give him a few years probation and otherwise a suspended sentence?

Self defense?
Missouri: Self-defense asserted in Sunday slaying in KC
(Kansas City Star)

"The man who allegedly shot and killed James R. Jackson on Sunday said he fired in self-defense, according to Kansas City police. Police found a gun near the body of Jackson, 55, when they found his body in the street about 9:15 p.m. Sunday near 39th Street and Oakley Avenue. A 23-year-old man said Jackson had confronted him prior to the shooting. Police arrested the man but later released him, pending further investigation." (07/24/12)

I doubt if we ever hear what actually happened.

South Carolina: 89-year-old woman scares away burglars with pistol
(Carolina Alive)

"When burglars invaded the home of Ruby Hodge, 89, they got a lot more than they bargained for. Hodge was in her bedroom just after 8 a.m. Monday morning, when she heard a knock at her back door. Before she could get to the door, the burglars had forced their way inside. The great-grandmother came face to face with two men dressed in black down her hallway. 'I reached and I got my pistol and I met them right outside of my bedroom. Right inside of my bedroom door two black men passed and they were two medium black men and they were dressed in black and when they saw me standing in there with my pistol, they left and run.'"" (07/23/12)

Mama Liberty: Wonderful! As with so many... no shots fired. Just so sad that so many people can't understand how tragic it might have been if she hadn't had the gun.

Nathan: Studies indicate this happens thousands of times a day.

Iran Pledges to Deploy Warships in the Atlantic
(CNSNews.com)

Aha! They've come up with another way to tweak the noses of the West. I'll believe this when I see it - the last Islamic power to have an effective naval force was the Turks in the 15th Century and it was totally unable to function outside of the Eastern Mediterranean. The Persian Empire demonstrated its incompetence in naval operations during its wars with the ancient Greek city-states, close to 3000 years ago.

Romney, speaking to VFW, slams Obama on leaks, planned defense budget cuts
(Washington Post)

RENO, Nev. — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney outlined Tuesday an assertive American nationalism that would guide his foreign policy, calling for a more aggressive posture in confronting the United States’ rivals and more consistency in dealing with its allies.

Just in case you thought that the GOP would offer a real alternative to the First Citizen's foreign policy... you've GOT to be kidding.

Sides trade barbs on eve of Senate tax-cut vote
(Washington Post)

Vice President Biden seized the stage Tuesday in an ongoing election-year drama over taxes, arguing that Republicans would rather raise rates for 114 million middle-class families than give up massive tax breaks for the wealthy few.

Where was the SWAT team? Can this guy get away with anything, including seizing the stage in the Senate Chambers? Much as I'd like to think he was launching a coup against the First Citizen... He lies - which is nothing new, but the GOP offers little except token changes: they continue to support unsustainable spending and taxes.

Hoploclastic Congress
After Colorado shooting, Democrats reluctant to talk gun control
(Washington Post)

In the weeks after the Columbine High School massacre in 1999, Senate Democrats led the way on passing a modest gun-control bill, even though they were in the minority. The issue commanded the national spotlight for a few weeks until it was blocked by House Republicans.

The WaPo bemoans them doing nothing this time around. NOT ALL OF THEM, of course: we have Bloomberg the idiot: except that officially he is an "independent." (Next story.) But really, do you blame them? Gun sales in Denver and Aurora, as well as training for concealed carry permits and ammo sales, jumped up 20-30 percent in the week after the shootings: people are sick of being targets in "gun-free zones" to any nutcase pointed their direction.

Congress in action
Cybersecurity bill poised for Senate consideration
(Washington Post)

The Senate is poised to take up comprehensive cybersecurity legislation as soon as this week, after years of discussion among lawmakers and a compromise that critics allege undercuts the effort to prevent a crippling cyberattack against the nation.

What the WaPo doesn't bother to report is that Senate Democrats DID try to sneak a post-Aurora rider in to make it illegal to own or transfer high-capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds) except for .22-caliber; a rider that makes even less sense than the rest of this foolish bill. What will best protect us against cyber attack? The cyber equivalent of armed citizens - citizens with the technology to defeat such attacks - technology that would be government-controlled and prohibited to all us peons if this piece of garbage passes.

Politics 2012
Don’t believe the polls on third-party contenders
(Washington Post)

Could a third-party candidate sway the 2012 election? Joe Trippi, for one, thinks that former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson could play spoiler this year. The Libertarian candidate for president is getting 5.3 percent of the national vote in the latest Zogby poll.

I wonder if the WaPo is now hoping that the LP will attract more GOP voters than Democratic voters and see this as the First Citizen's re-election salvation, so they are promoting this?

The Impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on Job Creators and the Economy
(National Center for Policy Analysis)

Americans and American businesses will face more than $500 billion in 19 new types of taxes and fees over the next decade to fund health reform, says John C. Goodman, president of the National Center for Policy Analysis and a research fellow with the Independent Institute...

Is this indeed the last straw for the American economy AND present form of government? Or will it just be another slow infection destroying the future so slowly that too few will wake up?

(Wall Street Journal)

Around one in 10 employers in the United States plans to drop health coverage for workers in the next few years as the bulk of the federal health care law begins, and more indicated they may do so over time...

This IS one of the intended consequences of ObummerCare: to drive more people into the arms of government-furnished AND -funded health care. It will probably work, at least until the REAL collapse of the economy makes it all a moot point.

Stupid nanny-state tricks
Six Reforms to Occupational Licensing Laws to Increase Jobs and Lower Costs
(Goldwater Institute)

This is treating symptoms and NOT the actual disease. The REAL answer is to get government out of it, directly AND indirectly. Private certification agencies, much like Underwriter Laboratories, will do better and eliminate much of the nanny state. All this does is let the system continue to limp along, and open to even more fraud, waste, and abuse.

DOJ to Colorado Family: Give Up Your Religion or Your Business
(CNSNews.com)

In response to the Newlands' complaint that ordering them to violate the teachings of the Catholic Church in the way they run their business is a violation of their First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion, the Obama administration told the federal court that a private business has no protection under the First Amendment's free exercise clause — especially if the business is incorporated. "The First Amendment Complaint does not allege that the company is affiliated with a formally religious entity such as a church," said the Justice Department. "Nor does it allege that the company employs persons of a particular faith. In short, Hercules Industries is plainly a for-profit, secular employer." "By definition," said the Justice Department, "a secular employer does not engage in any 'exercise of religion.'"

This should come as no shock to anyone who understands that CORPORATIONS ARE CREATURES OF THE STATE. Yes, even with things like the Citizens United case, corporations are NOT "endowed by their Creator" with life OR liberty OR pursuit of happiness. So evil like this can be done because the Newlands have traded limited liability for servitude to the state. This is something that many of us have warned about for years.

Obama: Businesses Want Educated Workers, Roads and Technology Paid for by Government
(CNSNews.com)

Anyone will take a "good deal" if they can get it, because they know it is NOT paid for by the government, ultimately. The government did or WILL rob someone else at gunpoint to make them pay for these things. Besides, just one more lie by the First Citizen, and most real businesspeople know it is a lie. Take just "roads" - ANYone who operates commercial vehicles on the nation's highways understands that tractor-trailer and other commercial rigs pay the lion's share of the cost of constructing and maintaining those highways. Indeed, they subsidize the private travelers on vacation or jaunts.

As for technology; even if SOME of what was invented was done in government-funded labs or through grants, unless you are a welfare drone, YOU or YOUR COMPANY paid for every computer, every modem, every minute and gig of internet, and every other sort of technology. As for "educated workers?" Well, there is a REASON that the private education industry is booming right now - because the "government-paid" education is worth virtually nothing: workers that can't write, spell, read, do basic math, understand the concept of regular work hours or personal accountability, can't logically solve a problem, and can't understand simple spoken instructions are ALL products of these government-ruined, theft-funded schools this man pretends to be so proud of.

Ohio City Council Removes Image of Catholic College From Town Logo

After being threatened with a lawsuit from the atheist Freedom from Religion Foundation, the city council of Steubenville, Ohio, on Tuesday decided to remove the image of Franciscan University from its town logo.

A crime indeed. I am afraid our atheist "friends" (remember, that very few atheists are the activists who do this kind of garbage, or so libertarians who are atheists tell me) do not understand the ill-will they are building up for themselves with petty little acts of aggression and tyranny like this. There are a good many people who call themselves 'christian' who do NOT practice "live and let live" and will be looking for alternatives to avenge themselves and Franciscan University against the idiots who forced Steubenville to do this. And what is next? Shall we rename Santa Fe (Holy Faith) or San Diego - or how about the other well known place named for the Franciscans' patron: San Francisco?

"Just like we've tried their plan, we tried our plan, and it worked...that's why I'm running for a second term."

Mama Liberty: Does not seem possible anyone can be stupid enough to borrow other people's feet to cram in his mouth. Just how is it that anyone would vote for this guy, let alone trust him with their health. Beyond me.

Nathan: Is this the "Big Lie" at work, or is it him saying the truth: that his objective (and that of his supporters and handlers) has been and is the destruction of what was left of liberty and prosperity and peace in this nation (and the world)? This is talking economics, but it applies equally well to liberty (both economic and personal). All the indicators are down: from OUR point of view. But his viewpoint is different. Very different. This seems to be the latest in his weekly bizarre pronouncements: the Kim Il Jong school of politics: last week it was the "You didn't do that yourself" garbage. Now this.

Indiana shootout leaves bystander, police dog dead
(CNN.com)

The suspect was armed with a pistol and large capacity magazine, an assault rifle, a flak jacket and gas masks, Farrer said. "He came with an ill intent," he said.

Mama Liberty: At least THIS TIME they shot their own darn dog... "He came with an ill intent." You think? Indicated by what? Couldn't be the threats of murder and his actually shooting at them... had to be the "assault rifle" or the "large capacity magazine." And now we'll find "flak jackets and gas masks" in every one of these stories, I suspect. The ongoing threats to his ex-wife wouldn't have anything to do with it?

More on the story: According to Madison County court documents obtained by CNN affiliate WRTV, Claudia Bailey filed paperwork Thursday requesting a restraining order against Kenneth Bailey. In it, she cited multiple threats, including a 2010 report in which Kenneth Bailey allegedly said he wanted to "blow everyone away" at the store where she worked. Claudia Bailey also wrote that as recently as a few weeks ago, Kenneth Bailey threatened that if he ever found her with anyone else, "he'd just shoot us from a distance where we stand." "I'm scared he would. I'm looking over my shoulder," she wrote. A magistrate granted the restraining order Thursday, but it is not clear if Kenneth Bailey received the paperwork before Thursday night's incident.

Mama Liberty: So, if he'd gotten the "paperwork" on the restraining order, everything would have been cool and he'd have given up this vendetta against the woman? I don't think so. But this is CNN, so I don't know what else to expect from one of their "reports." GRRRR

Nathan: The touching, naive, and stupid attitude of people towards pieces of paper like restraining orders reminds me, sadly, of the idea of too many "anti-tax" people who think that another magic piece of paper from some judge will cause the IRS and income tax to disappear in a puff of smoke. And cops will say whatever they think will keep their paychecks and big benefits and operating budgets with all the toys coming.

“According to Oregon water laws, all water is publicly owned. Therefore, anyone who wants to store any type of water on their property must first obtain a permit from state water managers.” A rural Oregon man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days in jail and over $1,500 in fines because he had three reservoirs on his property to collect and use rainwater. Gary Harrington of Eagle Point, Ore., says he plans to appeal his conviction in Jackson County (Ore.) Circuit Court on nine misdemeanor charges under a 1925 law for having what state water managers called “three illegal reservoirs” on his property – and for filling the reservoirs with rainwater and snow runoff.

Jackson County is Medford and vicinity, in the southwestern portion of the state, and except by Oregon standards, has plenty of water, not counting the runoff from the mountains (which get 120 inches a year - great even by Oregon standards). So the "harm" caused by this guy's water storage is, at best, a fiction - a violation of law. However, he should have known better - the concept of water law is clear, easily-researched (if hard to understand), and this guy did all the wrong things.

Unfortunately, some of the people forwarding this story suggested that this is sudden evidence of fresh communism or socialism, and growing power of government. I've got news for them: I know of NO STATE that does not claim that ALL water in the state, including snowmelt and rain runoff, belongs "to the people" or "to the state" and that only the state (or a court system owned, operated, and funded by the state) can decide who has "water rights." And this has been the case since BEFORE the American Revolution: it is a relic (like eminent domain) of the British monarchy. And by legal definition, "reservoir" can be something as small as a 20-gallon barrel catching water off your roof. The degree to which these laws are enforced may be increasing, thanks to environists and the growing nanny state, but it is a power the states (and FedGov) have claimed for centuries.

Stupid government/people tricks
California: Raw milk advocate seized by unidentified armed men in unmarked vehicles-with-no-plates
(American Vision News)

California: James Stewart, the 65-year-old raw “milk man” and founder of Rawesome Foods, was assaulted near his home today by three armed men driving unmarked luxury vehicles with no license plates. Carrying firearms on their hips and dressed in gangster-style street clothes, Satanic T-shirt imagery and tattoos, they claimed to be making an “arrest” and verbally assaulted James, sprayed pepper spray in his face, then forced his head against a car and screamed, according to witnesses, “You better listen to me or you’re gonna have a bad f*ckin’ day!” . .

As societies and governments crumble under pressure, the use of "private" goons by government agencies and quasi-government agencies increases: California is well into that phase of societal collapse, as this story illustrates. Expect more.

How conservatives misread and misuse Milton Friedman
(Washington Post)

Milton Friedman, the combative, impish free-market economist, died in 2006, too early to witness and diagnose the financial crisis of 2008 and the long economic slump we’ve experienced since. But that doesn’t mean he’s absent from the debate over how to handle it.

This is a great piece of disinformation, which is one of the WaPo's specialties.

If Obama loses the election, here’s why
(Washington Post)

With 100 days left in the presidential campaign, perhaps the two most vexing questions in American politics are: How could President Obama possibly lose? And, how could he possibly win? Americans are scared, angry and struggling. They used to talk about job satisfaction; now they talk about just holding on to their jobs. No incumbent since FDR has ever won reelection with unemployment numbers remotely resembling today’s. What voters feel about their lives and dreams in the months leading up to an election tends to stick to the president when they enter the voting booth. And right now what’s sticking to Obama isn’t good.

Makes you want to cry, doesn't it? Never fear, the WaPo has the answer - and it makes me wonder what the Administration has planned for the next few months.

Chick-fil-A controversy over same-sex marriage [sic] draws Billy Graham back into spotlight
(Washington Post)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If all goes according to plan, Billy Graham will be eating chicken on Wednesday. “As the son of a dairy farmer who milked many a cow, I plan to ‘Eat Mor Chikin’ and show my support by visiting Chick-fil-A,” he said in a statement from his Montreat, N.C., home.

The WaPo views this as damaging to the cause of Chick-fil-A, and so they included it in their headlines. It may be - I'm no fan of the "great" Billy Graham, that lover of governments and hypocrite in so many ways - but millions of people worship him and mistake him for Peter or Paul. This makes me wonder if these various mayors and other agencies will not try to follow the lead of the DOJ in that Colorado case about ObummerCare - and claim that since Chick-fil-A is a corporation, they HAVE no First Amendment right of free speech and CAN be shut down because they are opposed to this evil concept.

Scott Brown plays up crossover support
(Washington Post)

Democratic former Boston mayor Ray Flynn offers a full-throated endorsement of Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) in the newest ad in the closely watched Massachusetts Senate race. Flynn’s ad came the same day that independent New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed Brown and announced that he would hold a fundraiser for him.

Yeah, right, Bloomberg is an independent. If anyone ever thought that Scott Brown was any kind of conservative - even a neocon - this shows the truth.
