We let the Ostzone in Germany try communism for about 35 years; how about a similar time by splitting the US: say ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, NM, AZ, TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, and ND - that is just 13 states, or 1/4 of the union. No federal taxes for 35 years, 2012-2047. And compare to the Northeast with HIGHER, First Citizen-style taxes, and the Southeast with current taxes. What’d ya bet? Mama's Note: Would certainly work for me. Unfortunately, far too many people within your designated territory benefit tremendously from the theft and would fight it tooth and nail. Environist
Madness In The Mail
by Nathan Barton © 2011 There
is NO evidence that a pipeline automatically devalues land or that
the destruction will be serious. This is a standard tactic of the
BANANA crowd, to claim that their land values will be destroyed.
There is more "toxicity" from an asphalt or chipseal
road than from having that pipeline buried under your corn field or
pasture or grazing land. The entire idea of eminent domain in
the US is that a fair market price is established for the purchase of
the land, including the loss of some use of the land due to a
pipeline under it. Lies and more lies.(Read

External Articles Occupying Wall Street By Sheldon Richman Most if not all of them likely favor a big
expansion of government, but in light of our political-economic
history, that would be precisely the wrong way to go because it would
further empower the same coercive bureaucracy that gave us this crisis.
Putting new people in charge won’t alter that fact that the bureaucracy
wields powers that should not exist.
What the protesters miss is that corporate power is derived from government power – it’s the most dangerous derivative. Without State power no bank (or collection of them) could set the economy on a balsawood platform of inflated currency and cheap credit, creating the conditions for recession and long-term unemployment; nor could it stick taxpayers with the cost of bad investments. Such mischief requires a central bank and congressional power to compel the taxpayers. Washington and Wall Street need each other. They don’t agree on everything, but their public feuds should not mislead anyone into thinking they are adversaries. They are in cahoots, dependent on a system that constrains regular people’s honest economic activities and benefits an exploitative elite. (Read the rest here) (Use the back button to return.) Gun

by David Codrea "GRRN streamed over 13 hours of video over the
two days of the Gun Rights Policy Conference this past weekend in
Chicago... Two videos are embedded in the post, Day 1 (Saturday,
September 24) and Day 2 (Sunday, September 25). They are long, as
they captured the entire program of speakers--making this an
invaluable asset allowing those who could not make it to Chicago to
attend a virtual GRPC. Presenting it in video format provides a
capability to watch and return to the program as time permits.
