May 30, 2011 Remember
(Video)
By Roger Young Ask ten people what Memorial Day is about and
you’ll probably receive ten different responses. Mentioned are claims
of "recognizing those who have served and fallen in defense or service
to their country," "identifying patriots who unselfishly answered the
call," and "acknowledging the heroes of battle." A common theme
encountered in the discussion is remembrance. But, what else should be
remembered? Are there not other aspects of war that need remembering?

They Fight and Die For Our Freedom?
By Susan Callaway, Editor The red face, shaking finger and loud voice was
bad enough, of course,
and the attempt to make me feel guilty for objecting to the police
state America has become was, naturally, insulting to my intelligence.
But the most horrible part was the fact that this old, grizzled veteran
had lived most of his life truly believing that the death and
destruction he and so many others had suffered and witnessed in
America's wars was the only thing that stood between us and the loss of
America or American liberty.

Pawlenty Announcing: ‘We May Lose Our Country' (CNS News. com) Sorry, I must be mistaken or confused, I thought we did already lose our country, with the First Citizen, the Abominable Act, the recent Supreme Court decisions (such as Kelo vs. New London and the very recent Kentucky vs. King decision on Fourth Amendment rights). What is left to lose as far as our freedoms? Only degree, not kind. Mama's Note: As far as I can determine, the dreams and ideals of the Declaration of Independence were killed - or at least put into a long coma - when the US Constitution was forced onto the people of America. The formation of a non-voluntary "government," backed by the power to tax and the power to compell obedience, murdered American freedom as an infant. It remains to be seen if that freedom can be resurrected or revived. (Read the rest here) External Articles By William N. Grigg When the questioning began, Vanessa thought
Jose might still be alive. She still harbored a faint, fugitive hope
that the armed strangers who had invaded her home had taken her husband
to the hospital. It wasn't until the detectives had begun the
interrogation that she was able to learn that Jose had died.
Vanessa Guerena being interviewed on local television. As the numbness of pure horror began to wear off, the newly minted 26-year-old widow started to feel the effects of injuries sustained when she had been roughly seized from her home, thrown to the ground, stepped on, and otherwise "treated like a criminal" by the death squad that had just poured at least sixty rounds into her husband. That treatment continued -- albeit in a more subtle fashion -- after she was placed in the custody of the detectives. (Read the rest here) (Use the back button to return.) National Gun Rights Examiner "The Second Amendment Foundation recently filed two important suits that...challenge government hostility toward two U.S. Supreme Court rulings on the Second Amendment." they write, citing their "case...against the State of Illinois, which sidestepped an opportunity to adopt legislation that would allow Prairie State citizens to legally carry loaded handguns for their personal protection." Roundup: Real ID, Real Money, Real Silliness By Garry Reed "No one ever questions George Soros money,"
Donald Luskin opinionized in a recent WSJ article, but three years
after the libertarian/conservative Koch brothers gave a $1.5 million
endowment to Florida State University for a program to explore
"political ideology of free markets and diminished government
regulation" two profs claim that accepting the money "violates academic
freedom."
That's because the donors, Charles and David Koch, are known for their "efforts to influence public policy, elections, taxes, environmental issues, unions, regulations, etc." Something, apparently, that liberal sugar daddy George Soros would never be criticized for doing.
