Commentary on The News
By Nathan A. Barton © 2011 Nazgul evil - Indiana Police State
Indiana Supreme Court: No right to resist cops’ home invasion exists (Vision to America) Overturning a common law dating back to the English Magna Carta of 1215, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Hoosiers have no right to resist unlawful police entry into their homes. In a 3-2 decision, Justice Steven David writing for the court said if a police officer wants to enter a home for any reason or no reason at all, a homeowner cannot do anything to block the officer’s entry. Indiana is no longer a part of America, clearly. Far worse than a scumbag “Solicitor General” who claims Congress has the absolute power to order Americans (or by implication, anyone else in the world) to buy anything Congress wants them to (and again, by implication, to do anything else Congress wants them/us to do). This is three judges who are tyrants and just plain evil, and a state that does not immediately rise up and overthrow them deserves nothing but contempt and worse. To anyone in Indiana reading this, flee! Get out of there, unless you have the guts and means to stand up to and pull down these tyrants. Mama's Note: The Nazgul of Indiana have only made explicit what has been going on, more and more, for years in a lot of other states. Many different websites and organizations have formed to keep track of these incidents and, in some cases, to fight the "laws" and procedures that enable them. I hope one of them will lead the fight to knock down this very dangerous piece of legislation. And yes, I agree with Nathan. If you value your life, get out of Indiana, Illinois, and most of the east and west coast. (Read

The
Paradox of PropertyLooking For Health - Naturally
You Are So Lucky By Susan Callaway, RN Reading over the part of last
week's column about "the blame game," I started thinking about some
of the many variations
there are on that theme. Then, when discussing how important it is to
remain debt free and save one's resources, a friend (with maxed credit
cards)
smiled and said, "Oh, you are just so lucky!"
Well, of course I am. I'm lucky to be alive, living in a relatively free place, in an era with so many modern conveniences, and a great deal more. Being smashed by a falling asteroid or a passing tornado would definitely qualify as bad luck. But being debt free is not the result of some random, unintended luck. It happened because of a consistent, conscious choice to avoid debt over all the years of my life - decisions that were often painful and difficult. (Read the rest here) Barak
Obama and the Incredible Flying Spaghetti Monster
By L. Reichard White © 2011 This tall tale is about a legend that wasn't.
It's brought to you by Mr. Obama, Uncle Sam -- and The
Incredible Flying Spaghetti Monster.
External ArticlesThe story begins with the original attack on Afghanistan in October of 2001. Did attorney Ron Kuby over-state the case at that time when he quipped, "It's ironic to me that we can commit a nation to war... on less evidence than it takes to convict someone for smoking a joint in downtown Manhattan?" Apparently he didn't. By Roderick T. Long Nonlibertarians are often puzzled as to why
libertarians accept such strong property rights claims (sometimes
called “absolute” property rights, though I’ve never figured out what
“absolute” is supposed to mean in this context). The answer I’m going
to give here is one I’ve already offered elsewhere (see here and here),
but I want to try out a new way of putting it. (I oversimplify a bit
here by not discussing the way in which consequentialist considerations
play a role in defining the contours of deontological rights-claims,
but sufficit diei.)
The reason libertarians accept such strong property rights claims is that, ironically, a) it’s much harder to justify rights to external property (i.e., property beyond self-ownership) in libertarianism than in almost any other moral or political theory, and b) because of this, property rights claims have to be extremely strong in order to get justified in libertarianism at all. Paranoia
Is Good for You
(Read
the rest here) (Use

the key distinction between the private and public spheres. The private
sphere consists of the areas of life in which an individual exercises
authority and into which the government or other uninvited parties
cannot properly intrude; traditionally, the home or family is offered
as a prime example of the private sphere. Thus, historically, privacy
has stood as a bulwark between the individual and government, between
freedom and social control. No wonder privacy is under vicious and
sustained attack.
Totalitarianism requires total information, and today's government is intent on achieving the complete identification of everyone, like taking an inventory of belongings to be taxed and controlled: national ID, biometrics, "your papers please!" Taking
without consent is stealing Taking a person’s private property, including his
money
when he would rather keep it for his own purposes, is theft no matter
what you call it. Whether it is done in a dark alley, beside the
highway, or in a brightly lit office makes no difference to the
foundational facts of the act. National Gun Rights Examiner
Informant in raw video gives Fox News explosive details about Gunwalker by David Codrea Gun Rights Examiner has been so involved
providing original
investigative reporting on “Project Gunwalker”* developments that
investigations conducted by others at times go unexplored. Such
is the
case with a raw video produced by Fox News on April 27, in which
reporter William La Jeunesse interviewed an unidentified confidential
informant.
Not that the reports go unnoticed behind the scenes. This correspondent has been in contact with La Jeunesse on Gunwalker developments for some months, and while not free to share his replies, this is what he was emailed following publication of his May 4 report: (Read

"The trial was postponed due to officer not showing up or something like that." "The trial was continued as there are depositions the defense needs to take before proceeding." "The persecution got a continuance, I think until 6/20." Plenty of guesses but are any true? John Kurtz was scheduled for trial on May 16 in Orlando FL where he faced 6 years in jail for the victimless "crime" of videotaping a cop in public. May 16 came and went and John Kurtz seemingly disappeared right off the face of the internet. (Read the rest here) (Use the back button to return Features From The Last Issue
