Report: Mass. 'Clean Energy' Plant Closing After $58 Million in State Aid CNSNews.com A clean energy company is closing its factory in Massachusetts, just two years after it opened the solar plant with about $58-million in taxpayer subsidies, the Boston Globe reported. Evergreen Solar calls itself a victim of weak demand and competition from cheaper suppliers in China. Amazing, the original news story (from the Boston Globe) doesn’t even say WHAT this factory makes - some kind of “clean energy” product, but what? Apparently, it moved production of whatever it makes to China. The story was FILLED with references to subsidy of competitors by foreign governments, as if this $58 million was NOT an immoral and anti-free market subsidy by the government of Massachusetts. 800 jobs go away - but really, considering this was only 2 years old, that means that each of those jobs cost taxpayers $35,000/year - shucks, it would have been cheaper, all round, and had less environmental impact, to have just paid the 800 people two years of relatively cushy unemployment! Reading of the Constitution in the House of Representatives was a
Cruel Hoax
By Robert Greenslade © Nitwit Press After officially taking control of the House of
Representatives,
Republicans decided to begin their tenure with a reading of the
Constitution to remind House members of the limited nature of Congress’
power. Since the Republicans have a long track record of being
equal opportunity offenders when it comes to usurping power, I was
suspicious when I heard they would take their sudden love affair with
the Constitution to the floor of the House.
In a recent interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, new Speaker of the House John Boehner (R) was asked to name a government program he would cut. WILLIAMS: “Name a program right now that we could do without.” BOEHNER: “I don’t think I have one off the top of my head.” (Read the rest here) External Articles Giffords: Reality Turned Inside-Out By Larken Rose "Gun control" is violence enforced with guns.
In other words, so-called
"gun control" is gun violence. Ask a Branch Davidian about this, if you
can find one who the feds haven't murdered yet. Or ask Randy Weaver.
Ask him how compassionate and peace-loving "gun control" is. If you
don't know what I'm talking about, turn off your statist-controlled TV
long enough to do an internet search, and see "gun control" in action.
Some Critical
Considerations on the United States ConstitutionTo be blunt, the opinions of the average American regarding morality, violence and justice are warped and twisted to the point of being about as backward as they could possibly be. The good news is that this is not the result of individual stupidity or malice. It is the result of life-long indoctrination into the cult of "government." If you love humanity, and consider yourself peace-loving, I dare you to read "The Most Dangerous Superstition." You may find that your good intentions and noble virtues are being used against you, to the extreme detriment of humanity. You may find that all the pain and suffering that you see in the world, all the injustice you want to end, is feeding off of you. If that were the case, would you want to know? Or would you rather cling to whatever you already believe, regardless of the harm it may be doing to others? Again, I dare you to read the book. (Read the rest here) (Use the back button to return.) By Carl Watner The Constitution is one of the most revered
symbols of the United States. Over the years, it has taken on all the
trappings of sovereignty, commanding the loyalty of almost every
American. The Constitution is "America's uncrowned king," because "it
is above party, a common object of veneration, a living symbol of
national unity."
We should examine the Constitution closely, since it has such a pervasive influence over our lives. Does it meet the requirements of commonly accepted legal principles and reason, or do we judge it by a double standard? Did the Constitution have a legal birth, or did it unlawfully encroach on the Articles of Confederation? In other words, is the Constitution constitutional, and does it have any inherent authority? Did the Constitution Originate in a Constitutional Manner? (Read the rest here) (Use the back button to return.)

Rachel Madcow, care to comment?
A man who was wounded in last week's shooting rampage in Tucson was apprehended by authorities Saturday after he allegedly threatened a "tea party" activist at a town hall meeting of victims and eyewitnesses of the attack. James Eric Fuller, a 63-year-old Democratic activist, was arrested after shouting "You're dead!" at Tucson Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries, said Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ogan. Fuller was shot in the knee and back Jan. 8 when a gunman opened fire, killing six and injuring 13, including Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. (Read

National Gun Rights Examiner "We believe the ship was carrying arms, ammunition and explosives, and we believe the cargo is still intact," said the spokesman, Wing Commander Paddy O'Kennedy. That’s curious—that the crew did not avail themselves of those arms, and instead elected to place themselves at the mercy of cutthroats. Might there be more to this story? (Read

Ritchey recounts the politically motivated hyperbole from Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik who blathered about "unbalanced people" engaged in "tearing down the government" and the Southern Poverty Law Center's Mark Potok who blamed the shooting on "the radical right."
