ARIZONA REJECTS ECONOMY KILLING ENERGY TAXES HERITAGE FOUNDATION Arizona will no longer attempt to limit greenhouse gas emissions across the West, say observers... Utah is not the only Western state that is rejecting the left's global warming regulation policies. Last month Ariz. Gov. Jan Brewer (R) signed an executive order stating that Arizona will not endorse any emission-control plan that could raise costs for consumers and businesses, says the Heritage Foundation. The article describes just a few of the likely extremely negative impacts, and how Westerners will be hurt more than most of the country. However, New Mexico and Colorado (look who rules these states), and possibly Wyoming and Montana (again, notice whose in charge), are proceeding with this. In Colorado and New Mexico, the phenomenon is well-understood: Tranzi-controlled and -inhabited Metro Denver (with 2/3 the population) DOES care about how the rest of the state (especially the rural areas) fare economically: they want to DESTROY the rural economy, so that the "earth" is protected and so that the only viable economic activity in these areas is the servicing of tourists from urban areas: no mining, no oil and gas, no logging and timber, no farming, no ranching, and above all no industry. New Mexico, dominated by the Albuquerque-Santa Fe-Taos new-ager Tranzis, is much the same: they DO care about ranchers in Catron county and farmers around Clovis and roughnecks in Hobbs: they want them to all be on the dole in Albuquerque and this kind of thing is just what will do it. Of course, if the states don't put these taxes into place, the First Citizen and his thugs in the EPA will do it anyway. (Read the rest here) External Articles
Can violence solve violence? by Larken Rose In general, it’s a bad idea to focus on
treating the SYMPTOMS of a problem, instead of treating the problem
itself. This is true in medicine, economics, philosophy, and just about
everything else. However, if the symptom of ONE person’s problem is the
SUFFERING of another, then treating the symptom is a worthwhile goal,
for the sake of the innocent victim. (Read

Our Right To Defend Ourselves RKBA Resources National Gun Rights Examiner The thing is, Musevni offers a good
representation of what much of the world has experienced when it
practices the goals of those who would ban private ownership of guns,

Examiner Too many tragic events begin with a person in
trouble, or someone acting on their behalf, picking up the phone and
dialing "911". Then, into this already tense situation come armed
agents of the state whose very job it is to find things to "arrest"
people for. This is not a recipe for solving problems, but for
manufacturing them. It complicates a situation. Too often
the person in trouble, or a family member, ends up being attacked or
killed by the responding cops. Anchorage

You may remember Calvo, the mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland, who got his own lesson in the application of SWAT raids when his own home and family was terrorized and his dogs murdered. Why did this have to happen? Good question. The only thing illegal found at the Calvo home that day was the box of weed that the raiders placed on the doorstep in the first place, in an entrapment attempt modeled on a tactic that (we are told) is becoming common among The Bad Guys. Thing is, from the sound of it, Calvo has been an almost unbelievable model of restraint in his questioning of how SWAT resources are applied against the constituency. (Read the rest here) Use the back button to return. It has been a while since we've talked about
states enacting some variation of the Firearms Freedom Act. This
legislation would declare that firearms, ammunition, and firearm
accessories manufactured in-state, and not moved across state lines,
are not subject to federal law. The reasoning behind this is that
federal authority for all such regulation stems from the Constitution's
"interstate commerce clause." Someting that doesn't leave the
state isn't part of interstate commerce. (Read

A recent issue of the conservative American Spectator headlined an article, "The Great Hate Hype: Are Libertarians Dangerous?" (The italics are theirs.) According to American Spectator, the SPLC report "presents a rather grim and alarming portrait of the state of extremist organizations in America." Which extremist organizations? Hate groups on the American political right. (Read the rest here) Use the back button to return Announcement
