What Washington Post Didn’t Tell You about Its Own Poll: Most Americans Say They Want a Smaller Government CNSNews.com A large majority of Americans say they want a smaller government that provides them with fewer services, according to a new poll from the Washington Post and ABC News. But the Washington Post story about the poll makes no mention of this fact. Imagine that! Even the WaPo can sometimes realize that they would be slitting their own throat. Mama's Note: Define "smaller government." These polls are
actually meaningless as long as people continue to push for more
government spending like welfare, trade protectionism, local government
subsidies and unemployment "benefits." What people really want is
to get all the goodies and have someone ELSE pay for it... you know,
those filthy "rich" and big business." They don't have a clue about the
free market, or personal responsibility. In the coming collapse, they
will either learn - the hard way - or submit to even more police state
"big government" when it promises to fix the problems... again.

- Book Review
By Susan Callaway, Editor How do we convey the basic ideas of liberty,
justice and self
responsibility to our children? We live in a world awash with statist
and even communist messages they can't help but pick up each and every
day. Of course, our own lives and example are the primary way to convey
the truth, but it would seem wise to be on the lookout for things that
can give that example a memorable reference. Stories and books have
always served this purpose in society, and the freedom community seems
badly behind in providing such things, especially for small children.
Consider, then, a small book written by a fierce champion of liberty and justice, Kent McManigal. The story of Indy-Pindy is very simple, to the point, and beautifully illustrated by the author. (Read the rest here)
Our Right To Defend Ourselves RKBA Resources National Gun Rights Examiner We've been following the Texas Gun Shows story out of Austin (see "Related Articles" link). Attorney Paul Velte has sent out an email to his Peaceable Texans for Firearms Rights list that's being circulated among gun owners regarding his investigation into the matter. It's based on his "review of the law and speaking to the promoter and an individual that had his private collection confiscated Saturday. Governor Dave Freudenthal has paid off, just this week his wife Nancy
Freudenthal has moved through the hearings and is on her way to
appointment as a U.S. District Court Judge.
This is Washington D.C. politics as usual. Senators Barrasso and Enzi have both approved of her appointment even though it doesn't sit well with most of their constituents. This is a dark day for politics in Wyoming,
while being the first women
Federal Judge in our state it certainly would have been easier to
celebrate if it wasn't such a case of NEPOTISM. (Read

The left-right coalition of food coercion? By Garry Reed Writing in Grist, an environmental news and
commentary webzine, Tom Philpott complains, "a left-right coalition
against Big Food and in favor of alternative food networks never
materialized" between the natural foodies and the “crunchy cons” –
political conservatives who love natural foods.
Maybe the coalition never materialized because Philpott doesn't know "right" from "libertarian." (Read the rest here) (Read the entire article at the source website. Use the back button to return) The Libertarian
