December 28 , 2009 Cobbled together something here just on
time! Will add more tomorrow and, possibly, through the week. Thanks
for your patience! MamaLiberty ![]() Libertarian Commentary on The News By Nathan A. Barton © 2009 Congress
in Action - Health Care Panic of 2009
The Senate's Christmas Gift » Liberty Alert Senate Democrats are working overtime to get an Obamacare bill passed before Christmas. They no longer even pretend to be doing it to reform healthcare. Now they’re just doing whatever it takes to get a bill passed, even if it costs somewhere between $848 billion and $2.1 trillion, depending on which math you use. Read on for the latest on Obamacare… Cry if you want - it won't do any good. We have sold ourselves into slavery, traded our birthright for a bowl of bean soup... pretty poor-tasting and un-nutritious soup at that.(Read the rest here)

on which I sketch a little doodle and
sign my name, saying that it is "legal tender" but not backing it with
anything other than your trust? I hope not. The

counterfeit "dollars" are no better unless people imagine they are
better. Once people realize they are being duped, the game is
over. Don't be the last one to figure it out.

By Kevin Wilmeth It's not that each of the articles
referenced here doesn't merit its
own examination; they just keep coming so bloody fast...

I know that I get awful cranky when trying to ask the basic question: where are all those marvelous cops that all those (hundreds or thousands of) "bad apples" are giving such a bad name to? Why haven't we heard a peep from them while the very face of law enforcement resolves more and more sharply into jackbooted thuggery? ![]() Oath Keepers vs. oath breakers By Garry Reed Will Oath Keepers weaken America's
defenses? That's what fellow
Examiner and libertarian Karl Dickey suggests in his recent article,
"Oath keepers and libertarians." Dickey expressed concern that, even as
libertarians welcomed Oath Keepers as principled individuals, some
military personnel "acting on their own accord" could potentially
weaken America's military. His reasoning goes as follows. Oath Keepers
is a relatively new non-partisan association of currently serving
military, veterans, peace officers, and firefighters "who will fulfill
the Oath we swore" and promise to disobey unconstitutional orders. Some
of America's finest peace officers, as chronicled in The Anti Police
State police, have already been refusing to enforce what they see as
unconstitutional overreach, refusing to enforce marijuana prohibition
laws, gun bans, or breaking up peaceful demonstrations. (Read
