October 19, 2009 ![]() Libertarian Commentary on The News 11 - 17 October By Nathan A. Barton © 2009 New Religions: Manmade Global Warming
"What Happened to Global Warming?" BBC News This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998. But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures. And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise. Well! Even the BBC must admit this in writing? But never mind - the "warmers" will continue to spout their nonsense and more and more of us are caving in and accepting that emission of carbon is evil and deserving of mass punishment... Actually, the article is still written from a "warmer" point of view against the "climate change skeptics" - whom the BBC tries to trash. I don't know of anyone who believes that the evidence fails to prove that global warming is manmade who thinks that there is no climate change - the evidence is clear that weather is cyclical. nor agreed to, by anybody, as a contract, and therefore never bound
anybody, and is now binding upon nobody; and is, moreover, such an one
as no people can ever hereafter be expected to consent to, except as
they may be forced to do so at the point of the bayonet, it is perhaps
of no importance what its true legal meaning, as a contract, is.
Nevertheless, the writer thinks it proper to say that, in his opinion,
the Constitution is no such instrument as it has generally been assumed
to be; but that by false interpretations, and naked usurpations, the
government has been made in practice a very widely, and almost wholly,
different thing from what the Constitution itself purports to
authorize. He has heretofore written much, and could write much more,
to prove that such is the truth. But whether the Constitution really be
one thing, or another, this much is certain – that it has either
authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to
prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Did 1918 Spanish
Flu Deaths Result From Aspirin-Induced Scurvy (Vitamin C Deficiency)?
by Bill Sardi There seems to be something missing in explanations why
otherwise healthy and younger adults die from the flu. Does a dark
angel just come visit these kids that die and take them? Fearing a
repeat of the 1918 Spanish flu, which resulted in millions of deaths
worldwide, what could be done to avert a similar deadly pandemic now?
Dr. Karen M. Starko MD provides us with some important clues. She hypothesizes the high mortality rates due to the 1918 Spanish flu resulted from the over-use of aspirin. The evidence Dr. Starko provides is compelling.
National Gun Rights Examiner When it comes to guns, Hollywood suffers from a self-imposed dissociative identity disorder. On the one hand, we have stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger making fabulous careers for themselves portraying heroes who solve problems using guns as tools to fight evil, and on the other hand, we have politicians like Arnold Schwarzenegger signing edicts that infringe on the ability of his audience and constituents to do just that. KOs Shelter Kickback Scheme
Every time we turn around, it seems, we hear of an abuse shelter being accused of discrimination, fraud, or other head-shaking irregularities. And now a judge has ruled the entire abuse shelter industry in the state of West Virginia is wracked by conflict of interest, gender bias, and financial kickbacks. The ménage a trois involves a government agency, a well-heeled trade organization, and 14 domestic violence shelters located around the state. Here’s how the scratch-your-back scheme works…(Read the rest here)

Examiner This gets to the main issue: I don't know
how anyone could consent to allow their children to be kidnapped and
sent off to government indoctrination camps for the majority of their
childhood and adolescence. This practice is crushing creativity
and individuality while building willing supporters of the state and
its corrupt ways.

typically call themselves Anarcho-Capitalists, or AnCaps, want to
abolish government entirely do you respond with gnashing of teeth and
pulling of hair?
“Without government we’ll have nothing but chaos,” you might gasp in dismay. But think about how much chaos government creates. (Read the rest here) (Read the entire article at the source website. Use the back button to return
