"Independence (?) Day and what "or else" means."
By Mike Vanderboegh

We KNOW that this situation of two peoples -- one of free individuals and one of the collectivist herd -- cannot last for very much longer. One or the other must triumph. And we know from history that such deep divides are almost always bridged by piling up enough bodies in bloody civil war to fill the chasm.

So, no, I will not be celebrating this Independence Day. I will hold my family close, and I will pray to God for guidance and protection and I will look to the bloody future with apprehension. But -- know this. Know that I intend to maintain my own liberty, even if it kills me and mine in the process. That was the Founders' solution, and that is mine. Congress in Action and New Religions - Global Warming
Congressmen Say They Didn't Have Chance to Read Full 1,200-Page Climate Change Bill Before Vote

CNSNews.com

Almost all of the House members surveyed Friday by CNSNews.com had not read the entire 1,200-page climate-change bill before they were to cast their vote Friday evening. But almost all of them knew how they were going to vote…

Gee, whiz, why not? What difference does the CONTENT of a law have to do with whether you vote for it or not?  Congress increasingly abdicates its responsibility - why bother to even write the law - just write the title of the bill (in 200 words or less) and let the White House and the millions of unelected bureaucrats and judges fill out the rest?  (Read the rest here)

Lessons

by The Hunter

What the doubting thomases don't bother to consider before they recoil in horror is that the shooting has already started. So far it’s an abortion doctor here, an overzealous prosecutor there, or a crooked judge out yonder. And so far its just nutcases doing the shooting - or as some people have called them, the canaries. I sincerely hope we can keep it that way.

But if the oppression keeps up, you're not going to see a full-scale guerilla war modeled on the American Revolution as so many romantically assume. At least not initially. You're going to see an ever-increasing groundswell of those shots in the dark aimed at politicians and public figures who have pushed oppressive measures thus making themselves unpopular. I'd really rather not see it come to that, because once the killing starts, it seems to nearly always spiral out of control. Besides, a lot of these people earnestly believe they are doing good and necessary things. (Paving stones to the nether regions notwithstanding.) Feeding them 150 grains of lead doing 2000 feet/second doesn't defeat their ideas, and it might very well give them a new lease on life. The ideas, I mean; the recipients of that sort of argument tend to be a little too busy getting acquainted with the workin' side of grass to spare any time to continue political debates.   Law and Liberty
by Sunni Maravillosa

Many individuals grow up without developing an internal set of principles for guiding their behavior. Instead, they may transform from relying on their parents' edicts (which may often be justified with nothing but, "Because I said so!") to relying on the state's edicts, in the form of laws, never bothering to think through the issues, much less the fundamental concepts of right and wrong. Some individuals never formulate their own set of guides, and thus are ripe for exploitation, which enables the horrors that are only possible under a coercive system of law, such as the National Socialist German Workers' Party -- more commonly known as the Nazi Party.

Moral laziness helps instill mental laziness. Individuals without a moral compass are more likely to choose the easy course when thinking through a dilemma. Often, they ultimately reason something like, "If it were wrong there'd be a law against it". A few individuals go so far as to rationalize that an activity isn't wrong unless he or she gets caught breaking a law. (Read the rest here) [From the archives]

My next article will be a detailed analysis of the top four false flag targets and dates for the rest of July. For now, let these facts suffice:

Top targets: New York City, Chicago, Houston, Portland - Top dates: 7/7, 7/11, 7/22, 7/29

The rest of this article will concern top target New York City and tertiary target Houston. The recent New York atmospheric anomaly is identical with another, over Houston four years ago during a most suspicious explosion of a BP refinery. Let the reader decide whether this is natural and coincidental or the preparation of false flag Nuclear Obama. (Read the rest here)

$4 Billion Abuse Industry Rooted in Deceptions and Lies

By Carey Roberts

According a recent report, the domestic violence industry continues to engage in information control tactics, spewing a dizzying series of half-truths, white lies, and outright  prevarications. The report, “Fifty Domestic Violence Myths,” is published by RADAR, Respecting Accuracy in Domestic Abuse Reporting.

How often have you heard the mantra-like claim, “domestic violence is all about power and control”? That’s code for the feminist dogma that domestic violence is rooted in men’s insatiable need to dominate and oppress the women in their lives.

And the obvious solution to partner abuse? Eliminate the patriarchy! (Read the rest here)

New Orleans still illegally confiscating guns
by David Codrea

The ACLU, not exactly known for being sympathetic to the right to keep and bear arms, is going to bat for a New Orleans man who had his gun confiscated. From the Associated Press:

The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana filed the federal lawsuit Thursday on behalf of Errol Houston Jr., who was arrested last year following a traffic stop. The lawsuit says the district attorney's office declined to prosecute Houston but has refused to return his .40-caliber firearm.

A Tale of Pot and Kettle
by L. Neil Smith

In each case, without a doubt, the jackbooted thugs in question, be they cops or soldiers, were prepared by their leaders who convinced them that those they were about to torture and murder weren't really people at all, but merely animals, subhumans, who could be treated in any way that was convenient—and fun. They probably didn't need much convincing. There is a perverse tendency in human beings to enjoy hurting and killing people if a sufficient excuse can be found or manufactured.

Ultimately, rationalizations wear thin, although it may take years, and the torturer or killer suffers nearly as much damage as his victims. (Some psychologists believe this is the origin of "combat fatigue".) That's one reason goodguys must refuse to torture anyone back, or to kill them except in unambiguous self-defense. Understand that the rule is more for our own benefit than that of any potential victims, because it allows us to maintain the all-important moral high ground.  There is an old saying that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". The VERY FIRST STEP on the road to freeing one's self is ATTITUDE.** If a person thinks like a slave, his own servitude is guaranteed. If a person thinks like a free man there are no guarantees, but the first requirement to being free has been accomplished. When a person realizes the condition of servitude into which most of us are born and unthinkingly live, when that person deliberately chooses to rid himself of his complacent servility and end the dependence and the slavery, that person has taken the first step. Without that attitude change, no journey on that road is possible, no individual freedom can ever be achieved. (Read the rest here) (Read the entire article at the source website. Libertarians should dare to be different
By Kent McManigal

If you see nothing wrong with national borders enforced by government; if you see nothing wrong with taxation as a concept; if you don't recognize aggressive war (the business of the state) as murder on a massive scale; if you accept that government has the authority to do things that you or I can not do, then what is the difference from any Demopublican out there?  If you don't accept that the philosophy of non-aggression applies to ALL individuals, including those employed by the state, what is your line-in-the-sand?  Knife law quibbling: it's already over and this is the shouting
By Kevin Wilmeth

Regarding the proposed change itself, the anti-disarmament logic is clear enough.  Gun owners will recognize this scenario intimately:  plug the word "assault weapon" or "machinegun" in for "switchblade", and "semiautomatic" for "assisted-opening" and we've seen the same article hundreds of times before.  This disarmament scheme, like all disarmament schemes, will only affect the peaceable, and then only by depriving them of something they weren't abusing in the first place.  Anyone actually causing harm with such devices, such as we can actually say they exist (the data, see, is always fewer and further between than originally advertised, and has this pesky habit of shifting about, almost as though it doesn't matter), is nowise hindered.  It's all lose-lose. The House of Libertarianism
By Garry Reed

Another outsider's definition of libertarianism: "It's the denial of any ultimate responsibility to anyone else, complete self-centeredness."

The writer, either intentionally or innocently, confuses self-centeredness with self-reliance. Libertarians not only fully understand but frequently point out to others that freedom encompasses responsibility. Freedom is impossible without responsibility, just as the concept of up is impossible without down, good without bad, or left without right. Quoting from the big "L" Libertarian Party of Texas website, "We respect your right to live your life the way you see fit, and expect you to take responsibility for the consequences." It's the collectivists, not self-reliant libertarians, who seek to escape responsibility by hiding themselves in some form of anonymous groupism. Unfortunately, this rejection of responsibility guarantees their loss of freedom. (Read the rest here) (Read the entire article at the source website. Use the back button to return.)
