Bravo! And thank you, as always, for bringing The obvious truth to light again. I have been waiting since The first mention of this documentary (way back in The beginning of 2006, I believe) for a DVD release, or an .AVI download, so that The entire population can view it, rather than The pitifully few viewers who happen to live in an area where The film is being shown. And I am STILL waiting, nearly a year later. To be truthful, The thought that Mr. Russo was much more concerned with padding his own bank accounts (offshore, of course) than with getting The truth out to The mainstream population of this great nation has been growing stronger with each passing day of waiting! Shooting Blanks

The glaringly obvious problem with ANY piece of proposed legislation that alleges to 'further protect our 2nd amendment gun rights' is that they are totally unnecessary under The US Constitution. The wording of The Second Amendment is clear and concise; and it is obvious from The remainder of The Constitution that, had The writers of this amendment intended for there to be any further clarification of intent, or enumeration of which 'arms' were to be protected and which were not, or any other delimiting provisions included, they would have been written into The text of The amendment. The fact that our 'lawmakers' continue to write these worthless and unnecessary bills only serves to validate The necessity for such in The eyes of The uneducated public, where no validation is required, since under The law, The provisions are unnecessary. And The fact that these 'gun rights' organizations like The NRA, GOA, etc. actually endorse these obviously unconstitutional bills only serves to point out where their intentions truly lie – they’re only fighting for your annual dues and contributions, not your 'gun rights'! God and the Pledge of Allegiance

The fact that the words "under God" are included in the Pledge of Allegiance is really only a recent addition. The phrase was not included in the original Pledge but was added during the 1950s. Certainly, the framers of the the Constitution held a deep belief in God as evidenced by the writings of that day. However, the framers also realized that a freedom to practice religion (or to not practice) was an important principal in the foundation of the unified democratic society of the United States. While I have no problem saying the Pledge and including the phrase "under God" I also understand that there are individuals who do choose to say the pledge with this phrase. By me not saying it, my faith in God isn't any less. However, by having more people feeling that they can a Pledge for the unity of the United State without the phrase, we may have a stronger nation. Saying a Pledge without the phrase "under God" wil never dictate whether I have a strong belief in God or not. Value beliefs are very important to the strength of the American Society. But for religious conservatives to push a value system steeped in strong religious beliefs on everyone is wrong. Many people hold strong values about our nation but do not necessarily have strong religious beliefs. Ron

The "pledge" in any form has absolutely nothing to do with liberty and justice in this country. Value beliefs are not created or maintained by any slavish adulation of flags or rabid nationalism. They are nurtured by people of integrity and honor, in the ordinary things that fill their lives. Take a look at this article to see the socialistic origins of the pledge and much of what is now called "patriotism." MamaLiberty
