July 31,
2006 I am wondering why only those who I agree with are asking feedback ? Le N. I'm not sure what you mean here, but I'm glad you feel free to send your comments anyway. MamaLiberty Libertarian
Commentary on the News for the week of 16-22 July, 2006. , --Page 2 "Well, as soon as someone can get their hands on a few of the little buggers, we can experiment with the microwave and a strong magnet, for starters." You make me proud, Mama Liberty. I remember suggesting that the first time you printed an RFID article. But you raise a good point about those that you can't get into the microwave - such as they are implanted in your shoulder instead of your drivers license. What should we do with those? I'm afraid the solution is a little more painful, but if you can get a hand held zapper (the kind used to stun criminals) you can grit your teeth and zap the chip in your skin. Jason Just what makes you think I would ever allow anyone to implant such a thing to begin with? Once they have you like that, merely destroying it wouldn't do you much good, I'm afraid. The whole point is to destroy enough of them, and make them so unreliable that they never bother trying to implant them in everyone. In fact, there was a terrific article either today or yesterday at RRND about a bunch of folks who have managed to reprogram the RFIDs remotely. Once that becomes common, they will be quite useless for anything. If they ever get to actually implanting the things, however, it will be because we have already been disarmed. I don't ever intend to allow myself to be disarmed... so if this implantation should come to pass... I'll already be dead. Give
me liberty, or give me death. Hunting
for Answers Have you ever saw the movie Pocohantas when the white men came over to step all over the Indian's territory and start shooting and calling the Indians "savages". Have you ever thought of that? The white men didn't have respect for private property. And how california was taken by force from Mexico? Can you learn from US history? :) Hmong men The only thing we can learn from history is what happened, maybe. We can't change it. We also can't learn anything much from Hollywood movies except how they insult our intelligence with socialist crap. Grow up and spend your efforts in the here and now, building your own life with integrity and personal responsibility for your own actions. Blaming others in the past for your current problems is a sad waste. MamaLiberty Snake
in the Grass Hey Bob, Your story struck chord with me. I had the same thing happen to me when I was in college. It nearly ruined my life. I pride myself on not backstabbing other men to women just because other men have done it to me. My attitude is if she is so weak as to buy into this other guy's crap, he can have her. Quoting Spock, "Sometime it is more pleasurable to want than to have". Mike Your comments were sent to Bob. Unfortunately, he's not sent anything for us in a long time. Maybe your feedback will encourage him to change that soon. MamaLiberty NH
State Trooper Harasses the Wrong Little Lady I am shocked in this day and age that a person would behave as if this Trooper was a British Red Coat on his way to Lexington!!! It would seem that this Trooper was attempting to do his job and that this "attorney" felt compelled to engage him in some sort of ridiculous legal street battle. I'm quite sure that simply responding like a rational human being would have worked just as well as shouting that you are an attorney !!! Do people who are stopped by the police need to identify themselves as teachers, clerks, insurance agents or whatever their job is? Normally not, but an attorney must protest and carry on like a child not getting their way!!! The trooper never met this person and only held the firearm for his safety!!! It was given back to the owner once she was permitted to leave. I support gun ownership, but I also support the police to be able to do their jobs safely and without threat of harm from persons who may have the ill intentions on harming them. Richard A. Ruck Jr. From the
article: The whole point is that there was NO legitimate reason whatsoever for the cop to stop this lady or even speak to her, much less try to intimidate her. She gave no indication at all that she intended to "harm" anyone, and the cop had no legal or legitimate reason to touch her weapon, much less take it away from her for even a moment. This is gestapo behavior, and people like you not only allow it, but encourage it. You won't find any tolerance for that here. MamaLiberty
