What is the Handschu Scam and what, if anything, does it have to do with the latest claimed terrorist busts in Miami and Quebec?

When government agents infiltrate lawful political organizations, they're under pressure to come back with information. And what government hearings have revealed time and time again is that they come back initially with no information, with information about lawful activities and then they're under pressure to generate some business. And they try to entrap people and foment illegal activity. ...and the people behind the plot to blow up anything [in the Handschu case] were all government agents. -ACLU's Donna Lieberman, Democracy Now! March 15, 2006

In addition to the Handschu case mentioned by Ms. Lieberman, this same sort of government entrapment scam was also what happened to the so-called "Viper Militia" in Arizona, where an FBI-sponsored inflitrator proposed robbing banks, blowing up government buildings -- including Phoenix Police HQ -- etc., to further "the cause." When I interviewed a Viper Militia member on the periphery of that investigation, he told me it was easy to recognize an infiltrator: He was the one that "proposed the violent acts and was impatient to 'get 'em on'."

Most people quietly left the group as a result of the infiltrator's rantings. A few stayed behind because they felt they had to try to keep this guy -- who, incidentally, was responsible for the name "Viper" -- from hurting people. Naturally it was these patient heros who were indicted by our Junior G-men. Good work, guys!

Ditto the West Virginia Militia, where Oakey "Marshall" Richards, an infiltrator recruited by FBI agent J.C. Raffety, proposed blowing up the Federal Fingerprint facility near Fairmont, West Virginia. [1] This is a sprawling complex that would probably take several thousand pounders from a B-52 to even dent. And while anti-abortionist Eric Rudolph eventually copped to the Olympic Park Bombing, [2] the local FBI infiltrator was busily attempting to subvert local groups, planting evidence and fomenting violence. This led many -- including the FBI [3] -- to suspect it was one of "their" boys.

And it was because Randy Weaver refused to become just such an infiltrator that the U.S. Government eventually killed most of his family at Ruby Ridge, including his fourteen-year-old son Sammy (shot in the back by U.S. Marshal William F. Degan) his wife Vickie (shot through the head, literally with babe-in-arms, by FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi -- who's now hiding-out somewhere in the witness protection program), and seriously wounded Randy himself, as well as his friend Kevin Harris.

The establishment was also hip deep in the first WTT bombing in 1993. Unsurprisingly, the group held responsible had an FBI infiltrator in it. He was supposed to supply fake explosives.

Whoops! [4]

And, it seems, they're exporting the "Handshu Scam" -- at least as far as Canada:

The delivery of three tonnes of ammonium nitrate to a group suspected of plotting terrorist attacks in southern Ontario was part of an undercover police sting operation, ... they had to move quickly Friday night to arrest 12 men and five youths before the group could launch a bomb attack on Canadian soil. -RCMP behind bomb material, Jun. 4, 2006. 07:57 AM, MICHELLE SHEPHARD AND ISABEL TEOTONIO, STAFF REPORTERS

The punch lines are:

1. Five of the seventeen folks originally busted were below the age of consent and only one was over 30.

2. The "authorities" are having problems even connecting the 17 Canadian suspects to each other, let alone to folks in other countries.

3. The "authorities" have been "investigating" this "group" since at least 2004 but couldn't, apparently, find any reason to bust them -- until the RCMP delivered the three tons of ammonium nitrate to them.

4. The RCMP didn't deliver the ammonium nitrate, they only claimed they got an order for it.

5. Although this was Canada, the FBI was involved.

If you are acquainted with the way the law and order industry operates, as reflected in the Handschu case, the Viper Militia, etc. above, you can figure out that this latest Canadian caper was mostly smoke and mirrors, probably created, as per Donna Leiberman in the linked video - - -

Here are some links that indicate the Quebec bust is just such a Handschu scam:

"Police put on a `good spectacle'"

"Imam: Canada Suspects Didn't Seek Violence"

And then last week we had the big "terrorist" bust in Miami - - -

According to a federal indictment unsealed Friday, [the purported terrorists] were a cadre of al-Qaida wannabes who planned to create an "Islamic army" and "wage a full ground war" on the United States by blowing up the Sears Tower in Chicago and FBI offices in Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, D.C.
+
But, long on ambition, they were short on success. They acquired combats boots, a cell phone, a camera and some cash, but never stockpiled explosives, carried out a mission nor posed any real threat.
+
They also had another major problem. The al-Qaida representative who allegedly told them he had come "from overseas" to evaluate and finance their jihad was actually a government informant, authorities said. MAYA BELL, The Orlando Sentinel, Fri, Jun. 23, 2006

Now, don't you feel oh so much safer? [5]

But be careful you don't get entrapped. Just remember, if there's an infiltrator in any of your groups -- you know, like your paint-ball club, Quaker peace group, School of the Americas Watch, your PTA, etc. Just remember, he/she will be the person proposing the most radical and destructive behavior.

And pray for the poor suckers the FBI/RCMP set-up in their next Handschu scam.

Notes:

[1] The West Virginia Militia was infiltrated by a confidential informant by the name of Oakey Richards, recruited by FBI Special Agent J.C. Raffety. Mr. Richards was from the Clarksburg area and preferred to be called "Marshall" rather than Oakey, was known as a deadbeat dad and of questionable honesty. He was the militia member who suggested blowing up the Federal Fingerprint facility near Fairmont. Another militia member was charged with posession of military grade explosive -- given to him by Richards -- and accused of taking it over state borders. The transportation across borders charge was dropped later. [PBS FRONTLINE] via Don Smith, March 17, 2006 return

[2] This confession is nearly as suspicious as purported 20th hijacker Zacarais Moussaoui confessing he was going to hijack a plane with "Shoe Bomber" Richard Reid. Rudolph was a dedicated anti-abortionist -- it's unlikely there were many abortions being performed at Olympic park that day -- and the guy phoning in the tip didn't mention abortions either. And we already know how efficient cops are at getting confessions - - - from innocent folks. return

[3] Former Libertarian Party VP candidate, medical doctor, and attorney Nancy Lord was on the periphery of the Olympic Park investigation: Her client, Mr. Robert Starr, was framed and indicted when explosives were planted on his property. Dr. Lord was passing around two recordings: One of the FBI infiltrator in the Star case -- the other of the 911 emergency call from the bomber -- which the FBI suspiciously delayed releasing for six months. She was asking if people thought they were the same voice. It sounded to me as if they could have been. And in the mean time, the FBI was dragging poor, innocent, Richard Jewel across the path using him as the proverbial red-herring. return

[4] OK, put your tinfoil hat on, but could there be something as strange about the official version of the second attack on the World Trade Towers as there was about the "magic bullet" and the U.S. Government's "Warren Commission" version of the J.F. Kennedy assassination? Could 911 have been a new and improved version of the frist WTT attack? Take a look - - -

Here's a Col. Oliver North interview with "9-11 Scolars for Truth" Professor James Fetzer.

And here, an introduction to mega-credentialled BYU Professor Steven Jones' work. Jones claims thermate was used as part of a controlled demolition to bring down not only 47 story building seven, collapsed that day for no apparent reason, but also the twin towers themselves. This would require inside preparation, and would explain why all three buildings came down though never before in history had any other skyscraper ever succumbed to fire alone.

And, if you're appropriately skeptical, look at Prof. Jones' own ample presentation, complete with pictures and links to video, here: http://www.physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html

And finally, a video interview with Prof. Steven Jones himself explaining his thinking.

And can you, unlike the 911 Commission who chose to ignore what they couldn't explain, explain why building seven collapsed that day? return

[5] If you do, perhaps you should dis-myth yourself about the U.S. Government protecting you -- here, here and here. return
