16th Amendment is not the Source of the Federal Income Tax In the article "The 16th Amendment in not the Source of the Federal Income Tax" reference was made to the 1980 and 1989 Congressional Research Service Reports. My online search for these two references has been unsuccessful. Finding this information would be most helpful in my ongoing "engagement" [or fight] with the IRS. I need your assistance in locating these two references online. Any help that you can provide will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, W. C. Your request has been forwarded to Bob. Thanks for writing. MamaLiberty Does
the Death Penalty Prevent Crime? You said: If I was to follow through with this experts logic, then laws against rape, theft, embezzlement, speeding, and practically every other crime is a useless deterrent, as those crimes continue to take place even though we have laws against them. How many people have come forward and declared they were deterred from committing these other crimes because of the punishment for committing them? If the experts goal was to denounce the legitimacy of using the death penalty based on its deterrent capabilities, then we could denounce the legitimacy of practically all laws, because based on his standard, they dont deter people from continuing to commit acts society finds unacceptable. That's exactly the point. The death penalty doesn't stop people from committing murder. People are going to commit crimes (embezzlement, rape, murder) regardless of the law. If we made all these things legal, they would probably happen a lot more. That's why the law is there, it deters the instance of these. The laws job is to prevent it from happening and to punish the person who did it. Locking someone in a cell for the rest of their life prevents them from committing it again and it punishes them. But the death penalty (which occurs in about 1% of all cases) is not going to deter anyone anymore than life imprisonment is. It's not worth the heavy cost (4 times more expensive than locking someone in a cell) or the chance of convicting the wrong person. There is simply no reason for it to cost more to execute a person, but since our judicial system is so crooked and poorly run, that is sufficient reason to be concerned that innocent people will be killed. We must eliminate the injustice that makes our courts such a sick joke and return to the rule of law. MamaLiberty Southern
Oregon Sheriff Tramples Civil Rights Again How was the community kept safe when only 2 patrol Deputies were responding to calls of assistance in the community? How many assaults in progress, or burglary calls were not handled because there was no Deputy available to respond? What happened to the small child that was scared by Officer's with guns at Schroeder Park who had to be transported to Portland Hospital? At what expense will this effect Dave Daniel? Nothing - to the citizens of Josephine County - everything! Justice Your comments have been forwarded to Carl. He doesn't often answer his feedback, but I'll publish any answer he might send. 'Blogger Favors Freedom First I hear Bryan Dubois is turning state evidence against Elsbeth Baumgartner. If so this write up is a big twist from where they are now..... See the article described on page two of the Commentary. These people made serious mistakes and will have to pay for them. It's a wake-up call for all activists. We must be very careful to live with the utmost integrity ourselves or it WILL be used against us. MamaLiberty
