April 10, 2006

Dear Readers,
I'm sorry the mailbag never got posted last week. I was unable to get back on the internet until late Thursday and it seemed better just to make a good issue for today. Thanks for your patience, and for reading The Price of Liberty. MamaLiberty

Down With Democracy!
By Lady Liberty

Next election everyone should vote green no matter what, this will ensure a better president, and don't worry about voting in a "girlie boy." America has the most feared army in the world for a reason no one will dare invade us. J. C.

Such utter nonsense. We must get rid of all government, not just elect a different flavor of tyrant. Lets work together to insure liberty and justice for ALL mankind - and start the ball rolling by minding our own business instead of maintaining a "feared army!" MamaLiberty

The Nazi Destruction of America
by Ted Lang

Are we supposed to believe that Arabs and Persians are dumb, or are we supposed to believe that they have superior morals? I don't get it. On the one hand we are told that both houses of American government are bought off by a certain special interest group, while the enemy of that group has more money? One would think, that smart reps of both houses would say to themselves, "H-m-mf? If I can get so much here, how much more could I get there?" and just take money from both sides and vote morally and let both sides learn their lessons." Democracy is not for sale? Unfortunately, it appears that it has been sold! I-WUNDER

I can't make heads or tails of your comments, especially in relation to this article, so I hope Ted will answer. In the meantime, just remember that "democracy" is a large part of the poison that has destroyed America. The politicians are using the myth of the two party system to rob us all blind. The special interest groups are happy to help them do it for their own benefit. They've all got more money than we do, because we are letting them steal what we produce! The answer is to take it away from them, not argue about who is getting what. MamaLiberty

Hey Ted.... Congratulations, on waking up! It's too bad you don't have time to read a 295 page book which could help you make even more sense out of what you've wokeup to, judging by the tone of the articles I've read. M. S.

AIPAC: Still Spying, Still Tax-Exempt
by Ted Lang

Dear Mr. Lang, I have read many of your articles and I find them both enlightening and disturbing at the same time. I think you credit the "Jewish lobby" with far more power than they actually have. In fact, I think the Jewish lobby is being set up to be patsies much like Muslims have been. Charlie Sheen's courageous stand regarding 911 will likely (hopefully) rekindle interest in the subject and with any luck, a truly independent inquiry will be made.

The facts being what they are, once an honest inquiry is made, the conspiracy theory regarding Muslims being entirely responsible for 911 will evaporate. A new scapegoat will be needed. Enter Israel and Jews. After all, at least on the surface these two entities would appear to have benefited most from the 911 fallout. But we both know the treachery that produced 911 goes deeper than that. Enter Bush's Nazi connection. The plan and set up is nothing short of diabolical genius. "If the plan to bait the Muslims fails lets pin it on the Jews". Why else would someone with Nazi connections, sympathies and ideas tolerate any association with Jews or Israel if it wasn't to use them as a cover and scapegoat later on? I hope to hear back from you on this. Please keep up your research, but please remember that many Jews lost their lives in the 911 tragedy. Many Jews are involved with the 911 truth movement. You are reading a letter from one now. Respectfully Submitted (email address deleted. No name given.)

There are people of all faiths, or none, and nationalities of all kinds on both sides of this issue. No one group has a monopoly or is totally to blame. This is a very complex issue, and we don't even have all the facts.

Many groups have their own agenda and are not interested in the truth. The AIPAC certainly seems to be one of them. The US government must be returned at least to purely Constitutional functions. Then we would have some slight hope of intelligent, honorable foreign policy and relationships. Until then, all this can only get worse.

Your comments have been forwarded to Ted. I will publish any response he sends me. MamaLiberty

A Tale of Two Cubas?
By Emiliano Antunez

My boyfriend is a Cuban-born Cuban, full of love and loyalty for his country. I often hear him say that when Castro falls he will be the first to leave this country, I do understand the way he feels, but I will miss him with all my heart. T. Nelson

Unfortunately, Cuba will not be free any time soon. I very much suspect there is another dictator who is ready and willing to take over when Castro is gone. Your boyfriend's loyalty to his country is both understandable and good. Too bad it is in vain. MamaLiberty

The Truth About Depleted Uranium
By Nathan Barton

It´s very nice to read something with common sense about DU among an ocean of propaganda. When I have to hear people talking about this matter, and others like "The great conspiracy of the pentagon plane in the 9/11", I only can think that the a great part of the society is just like a peasant of the middle age, that believe in witches and that if he look straight to the moon he can take warts. C. C.

Nathan, I'm sorry you didn't like my comment about Uranium, but it happens to be true. Not all matter is radioactive in the sense that all known isotopes of Uranium are radioactive. Hydrogen has two stable isotopes and one known radioactive isotope, for example. Every element can have a radioactive isotope, but not every element can have a stable isotope. Uranium 238 decays into Thorium 234, to Protactinium 234, to Uranium 234, to Thorium 230, to Radium 226, Radon 222, Polonium 218 ... eventually to Lead 206. That it goes through decay instead of fission is what separates U238 from U235, which can decay or fission. Based on that data, while U238 is safer than some forms of Uranium, it is in and of itself not a safe object to be exposed to. Ionizing radiation lingers (unlike non-ionizing microwave radiation) and therefore its effect is cumulative - once exposed you are forever effected by it. Further exposure only raises the level of total exposure, even if the U238 exposure was brief. That's part of the problem of DU, which is itself not a very harmful substance and even though it is a heavy metal (heavy metal toxicity) passes through the body very quickly, limiting the effect it could have. The reason I am very cautious about accepting the claims of the safety of DU is that for those living and working near it, the body's store of it is being replenished as quickly as it is being depleted, which means we have effectively engaged in nuclear war in Iraq. Bumper Stickers - Fact and Fiction
By Nathan Barton

Check your "facts." Clinton did not lie about Iraq, or Somalia, or any other instance involving loss of life. Although his orders killed people, they killed less people than Bush sent to execution in Texas, and they were not based upon a predetermined course of action which he hypocritically lied about to the public. To paraphrase your gun lobby, "Government" does not kill people, people kill people. You also need to check your facts on religion. Your selective Biblical quotes reveal much about your Christian agenda. An open or objective mind you are not. bob

We don't claim to be anything but Christian. We have no obligation to anything but God and telling the truth as we see it. If you see it a different way, you are welcome to it - and welcome to read somewhere else.

Far too many people have the nutty idea that everyone must have no firm convictions - and then call that being "objective," or "open." Some things are simply not negotiable. Our Christian faith is one of them. So is our liberty. MamaLiberty

The Second Amendment and the Preamble to the Bill of Rights
By Robert Greenslade

Thanks! Keep up the good work. Do you do speaking engagements?? B. W.

Your comments have been sent to Bob and he will probably write to you directly if he is interested. Thanks for writing! MamaLiberty

The Declaration of Independence,·2004
By Robert Greenslade

I could only get halfway through this ante-bellum bullshit before I started to think I was getting sick to my stomach! For my own health I stopped, and I am already beginning to think I am better off. Please let me suggest to you, your delusion and your "cult followers" find a time machine, set it back to your future of the early 19th century, enter it and go back to your ideological states rights agrarian society. I would encourage you to seek out the ghost of ole slave holding Tom Jefferson and start yourselves a roundtable society. Or maybe go start yourselves a reiteration of the stupid Camphorate States of America on some other continent. We don't need or want you here. Looking toward a better future.

A better future based on what? You don't have any right to speak for me, so just who is this "we" are you speaking for? Many of us are working on building a society that Jefferson would approve, with liberty and justice for all - even you. MamaLiberty

Six Thousand Years of Failed Governments
By Dorothy Anne Seese

I still have my Goldwater/Miller campaign button. Reid Six Thousand Years of Failed Governments
comments Why didn't America see that Goldwater said that he would send troops to Vietnam (which we know now was a very bad war but not because of the troops) and lose the election and LBJ said he would not send additional troops (which he did then micro-managed the war until Nixon took over and we lost) and won? J. B.

Nobody "won" anything good in any "war" since the American Revolution, and we are fast losing even that. MamaLiberty

King Kong Movie review
by Rocky D

YES KING KONG IS A RACIST MOVIE! Why, because it used the power of an institution to project a subliminal racist message to an extremely large population. The most glaring RACIST SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE was during that last scene in the movie. Right after Kong (Black Man) finished his sexual interaction with his mate (White Woman) at the top of the Empire State Building and sacrificed himself by jumping off the building, she (White Woman) is rescued by her real man (White Man).

The scene switches to the bottom of the building where King Kong (Black Man) lays dead. A man in the crowd says why did Kong jump, he seemed to do it on purpose? THE RESPONSE! HE'S JUST A STUPID ANIMAL. But that's not all. At the same time as the response, in the background, precisely as the words "HE'S JUST A STUPID ANIMAL" comes out of the man's mouth, who is also smoking a cigarette, A BLACK MAN walks by looking like an idiot in the background, in sync with the comment, he's just a stupid animal. The synchronization was diabolical. THE INTENTION WAS TO PLANT A SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE IN THE SUBCONSCIOUS relating the black man as just a stupid animal. This is just one example of the movie's RACISM. E. S.

Geez ... and here I thought it was just a bigass monster movie ... go figger. Wait a minute -- "figger" rhymes with -- OH NO! ANOTHER SUBLIMINAL RACISM! OH GOD THE HORROR! THE HUMANITY!

Hmm ... does this mean Godzilla is really a slam on Asians with scaley backs? Man; now my head hurts.

Get Ready For Peterson II: The Sequel
by Carl Worden

"Yes, Peterson is probably guilty" Actually the prosecution's own witnesses and evidence overwhelmingly proved his innocence. The testimony by Servas and Pin Kyo about the grass clippings is enough on it's own to convince any reasonable person. N M.

A Tale Of Two Juries
by Carl Worden

"I don't know if Scott Peterson murdered Laci or not. He might have" Actually, a careful reading of the transcript makes it clear that he is positively excluded from any involvement at all. There is not a molecule of probative evidence against him, and there are far too many other items which, on their own or in combination, exclude him. N M.

Southern Oregon Sheriff Tramples Civil Rights Again
by Carl Worden

Hey I just wanted to let you know I was enlightened with this article. Good for you! And thank you for showing the TRUTH of things, we so seldom receive from the Daily Courier. Run for Office. You certainly have my vote. Keep up the good work.

Carl is running for office in Oregon as a Democrat, of all things (though I can't remember just what office right now). Your comments have been forwarded to him and I'll publish any response he sends me. MamaLiberty

"Cracking the Code"- To Further Freedom
By Eric Gronseth

I have read cracking the code and it is an excellent, well written book. I wish more Americans would take their responsibilities to keep their representatives in check, but I guess that may too much to ask! Joe

It's not only too much to ask, it is simply impossible. The history of the world proves that governments cannot be controlled by the people who form them, no matter how they are set up. When we give some people power over our lives, even very limited, they will always do everything possible to increase that power and tyranny is always the result. We need to devote ourselves to "self-government" and leave everyone else alone to do the same. MamaLiberty

A Pox on Both Their Houses!
by Jeff Adams

The original phrase is "A plague on both your houses" Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, Scene 1. - Jason

Thanks, Jason. I suspect that many variations have been used for a long time, but it's nice to know where it originally came from. I'm glad that's settled. MamaLiberty

Abstinence Vs Sex Education
by Carl Worden

Quite frankly, I think you are full of shit. Grow up and wake up. The "If you love your daughter.." spiel offended me greatly, and you are a dumbass if you think you can "ENFORCE" your young daughter not to have sex. Teenagers are up to par on how to lie. I think you might want to rethink how you post, the first few paragraphs sounded so unintelligent. M.

Offended? Why bother to read it then? We have no obligation not to "offend" you, just to tell the truth. So, if your daughter is just going to lie about it she might as well do anything she wants, regardless of how it will destroy her life? I hope you don't have any children - at least not until YOU "grow up." Unless you model moral behavior, there is no hope that your children will. If you don't care about a moral life then you've come to the wrong place. MamaLiberty
