27, 2006 Re: 'Doing Nothing About Everything' by Lady Liberty. LL writes: "Compounding the problem is the fact that, thanks to years of propaganda, the vast majority of Americans agree with the police. They're inclined to think less of the Bill of Rights than they are of promises of safety or security. Their misguided willingness to trade freedom for perceived safety is fine for them, but these are also the same people who sit on juries." A quote by Thomas Paine (Common Sense [the original version]) comes immediately to mind: ...a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry, in defense of custom." LL writes: "The man or woman who refuses to obey an unconstitutional edict may be arrested; if he or she is, conviction is likely if the evidence is there that the law was broken." To me, it seems a very simple solution exists. If the judges and lawyers insist upon ignoring the written law of the US and State Constitutions, in favor of 'laws' that serve only to increase their own personal wealth, then they should be barred from practicing law, as an obvious conflict of interest exists. Of course, this requires The People to regain responsibility for their own lives... MJA No
More Mamaograms! Please, Do you know of any place where I may get thermal imaging treatment of my breasts? I live in Somerville MA 02143, right near Boston and Cambridge MA. I have a strong family history and I am very concerned. Please let me know of any clinics or centers that I may go to. Thank you, Debra Debra Wood I'm very sorry you didn't include an email address. The best way to find a place that does thermal imaging is to do an internet search. Type that into any good search engine and see what you can find. Good luck. MamaLiberty War
Of The Worlds Movie review "Nope, the bad guy has got to be a whitey, cuz them whitey's is crazy, don'tcha know" Realistally, if you want true crazy you have to get a white guy. I'm talking diaper wearing, tutu sporting, AK-47 toting crazy, it has to be a white guy. Everyone else has a pressure release valve - Women, minorities, etc, have ready made excuses, "The Man is holding me down", etc. Only White Males have no excuse for failure. Thus when White Males go off the deep end it's usually pretty spectacular. Granted, Psychologists and sociologists are inventing syndromes and conditions to even give white males an excuse for being worthless, but that sort of thing takes time doncha know... Also, Cruise starts off the movie with a late 60's vintage Fastback for transportation - a vehicle not terribly prone to damage from EMP. Why the hell is he stuck driving a minivan? Anyway, liked your site. Arthur T Lueck( a white American male - sorry, Northern European American Male, age 35) luecka@gmail.com Arthur T Lueck Libertarian
Commentary on the News It appears (I hope I'm wrong) that Nathan A. Barton, commenting on Lawmaker: Religious virgins eligible for South Dakota abortions, wants to forcibly prevent my raped wife or daughter from getting cleaned-up after a rape? If my wife or daughter were raped the first thing I'd do (with their permission of course) is get them to a clinic to get them cleaned out and/or administer a morning-after pill - and I'd shoot any bastard that tried to stop me. ed A
Pox on Both Their Houses! Wish
I could tell you. I've heard the phrase used in movies, books and by a
number of people over the years. The
Truth About Depleted Uranium I refer to scientists who specialize in radioactive materials and they disagree with your "research", this is to important an issue to trivialize as you have. Mary You'd need to name your scientists to make a valid point. Nathan hardly "trivialized" the subject, but that's an easy thing to say if you aren't interested in the truth. You'll have to do better than that. MamaLiberty The Price of Liberty - front page You didnt hear anything about insurance premiums going up for federal employees did you? Perhaps you should get your facts straight before you go on a rant. FERS is NOT an insurance program. Ranter I don't have any idea what article you are commenting on. As far as I can see, we've not published anything about federal employee's (or anyone else's) insurance, and I don't know what FERS means. If you can be more specific, I'll be happy to respond. MamaLiberty Abstinence
Vs Sex Education Re: Response to 'Abstinence vs Sex Education' by Carl Worden: MJA wrote: "...and beat them senseless if they disobey? That approach doesn't even work on your dog, 'cause sooner or later either you will kill it or it will bite you!" Mama Liberty responded: I read my statement above carefully, several times, and I fail to see where you got the idea that I was suggesting that anyone "beat" their children. Teaching and modeling a moral, non-aggressive life and taking the trouble to be completely involved with your children's lives is a far cry from beating them. Involvement and honest dialog create mutual respect and love, not abuse." Sorry, my emotions superseded my objectivity. What I mean is, if your children choose to ignore their 'moral, non-aggressive' upbringing in favor of a 'modern' lifestyle, what then are your remaining options? Our daughter has been raised in a 'moral, non-aggressive lifestyle'. My wife and I have a solid marriage; we have always supported our daughter, encouraged open communication with her, tried to teach her the difference between what is 'right' and what is 'wrong', and encouraged her to be a disciplined, self-reliant and productive member of our society. In spite of that (or, possibly, BECAUSE of that), she chooses to follow a path that is, in our opinion, NOT moral, productive, or disciplined. It pains us greatly to see her developing into a 'typical' American teen. We ask ourselves on nearly a daily basis, "what have we done wrong"; but we are certain that we have done nothing. So, the question remains: WHAT is the parent to do when their child(ren) choose to ignore their upbringing? Shall we abandon society in favor of a totally segregated environment, in an effort to eliminate the 'bad' influences? Should we force our will upon the unwilling, in the name of 'doing so in their own best interest'? Sadly, at least in our case, your 'solution (and that of Mr. Worden), simply IS NOT WORKING! Our hope and our prayer is that one day, our daughter will realize her folly, and embrace the values we have tried so hard to instill in her. MJA That's a difficult situation and I'm sorry. Nothing is guaranteed in this world, and parenthood is no exception. All you can do is your best and the responsibility for what she chooses is ultimately her own. Unfortunately, much of this can be traced to government "education" and too much exposure to the obviously sick influence of others so indocrinated. I doubt a "totally segregated environment" is necessary, but I think we need to choose our "society" carefully. We need to eliminate as much of the negative influence as possible, while we maintain a positive role model and provide healthy work and entertainment. It's not easy, but it's the only way to raise children morally. You can't "force" anyone to be moral, intelligent or to choose what is right. You can only do your best. God bless you and her. I hope she will one day appreciate your love. MamaLiberty
