20, 2006 Dear Sir, I am a Corporal in The Marine Corps Reserves and it is VERY refreshing to see your article concerning the Iraq "war". I have read the Federalist Papers #69 to my Marines and some of them are shocked at what are the real powers of their Commander In Chief. Most are still under the impression that since we Marines are the "President own", we are to then blindly follow orders given to us. I also blame Congress for allowing the Dept of Education to exist due to the fact that they arent teaching the children about the Constittion and therefore the public is ignorant about these issues. I would like your opinion on a matter. Since Ive taken an oath to uphold the Constitution against ALL enemies foreign and domestic, then isnt it legally & morally right for me to decline to be activated for an undeclared war?? Thankyou for your articles. Its comforting to see another patriot who cares about their country and the people on the web. God Bless, D. S. Don-unfortunately,
declaring war has become a thing of the past. And to add insult to injury,
they are saying these resolutions of force are akin to a declaration of
war. We both know that is bogus. One person acting on constitutional principles
would be a career wasted and if I was an attorney, which I am not, I would
advise against it. However, you would have standing to bring the issue
to a court and make it a national issue under the right circumstances.
I would say yes to that if we could find an attorney willing to stand
for the Constitution. A whole bunch of service persons would be even better.
That would make it tough for them to single one person out. Thanks for
your kind comments and thanks for your service to our country. The
Second Amendment and the Preamble to the Bill of Rights Unfortunately the truth is seldom if ever related to students in the school system of the central government, thus students are brainwashed by that huge constipated unconstitutional bureaucracy. T. R C. This would seem to me to be ample reason to remove our children from government schools, but - sadly - most people just don't understand this or don't have the courage of their convictions to do something about it. MamaLiberty Mis-Interpretation, and to put forth the idea either written or in debate are foolish at best. Will they never concede? E. C. S. Of course not! Why should they concede when they are not being held responsible for their actions by the people? They've been given a blank check, and they are not apt to turn lose of it voluntarily. MamaLiberty You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you Steve A
Conspiracy of Really Smart and Really Evil Demons Sure some are "impossibly complex conspiracies", but ever since Cain there have been evil men, willing to serve Satan, whom conspired and formed secret alliances to 'get gain'. Ed A point of some interest about this article is that you have provided no more proof that these conspiracies do NOT exist (or, more to the point, that they CANNOT possibly exist) than the 'conspiracy theorists' typically provide that they DO. It's your opinion vs. theirs, as I see it. And while I will agree that many of these conspiracies certainly do lack any obvious credibility, at the very least they demand that questions be answered. In the case of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, the fact remains that there are far more questions about the 'official' version of the events than there are answers; and, more to the point, the government agencies and employees who have been stealing money from my pocket under the guise of investigating and answering these questions have patently REFUSED to do so. This raises even more questions about motive. Is it possible that aircraft can be flown under remote control? Certainly it is! We use this very same technology EVERY SINGLE DAY in military operations around the world (ie: CRUISE missiles and armed drone aircraft, to name but two possibilities). Do military organizations today possess the means and opportunity to create and implement such a ruse against the citizens? Again, they certainly do; in fact, a good deal of our country's 'defense' budget is squandered EVERY YEAR training young men and women in ways to do exactly this (ask anyone who has been involved in 'special forces' operations in the past 20 years or so). For my part, I'm still waiting for answers. And until they are provided, I will believe that four commercial aircraft, with each containing only a quarter of their passenger load, were ALL attacked and hijacked, with split-second precision, by Muslim terrorists armed only with 'box cutters', and subsequently used to completely demolish (or nearly so) buildings that had been SPECIFICALLY designed to withstand exactly this type of impact, about as much as I believe that on August 31, 1939, a group of Polish soldiers, dressed as Germans, crossed the border into Germany and attacked the town of Gliwice without any provocation. MJA The most valid part of this article calls into question the idea that these "conspiracies" are being carried out by some all powerful, perfectly evil, super intelligent entities who will soon take over the world. There is far more hysteria and speculation than hard facts and logic involved in most of these fantastic stories, but we must not toss out the baby with the bath. Conspiracies do exist, of course, and some powerful, rich people are no doubt involved in some or many of them, but they are no more "all powerful," etc. than anyone else on earth, no matter how much money they have. Large and complex plans also have some serious problems, no matter what the motives of the participants. It's impossible for a large number of people to keep a secret, for instance. Large secret conspiracies over many years are, therefore, almost impossible. Humans have a strong sense of self interest and free will. Even the worst criminals are seldom willing to go along with anything that will ultimately result in slavery for themselves and their families. Since large conspiracies would require hundreds, if not thousands of pawns to keep going, they are unlikely to survive very long no matter how much power and money those at the top may have. Poor science and lack of consistent facts are at the base of most of these so-called conspiracies. If we look at this first when investigating a reported scheme, we can save ourselves a lot of time and anxiety. There is a great deal we can do to fight the evils of this world. Endless worry about impossible conspiracies should not distract us from them. MamaLiberty The
Truth About Depleted Uranium Mr. Barton promises "a very basic chemistry and physics lesson", then states that U-238 is "NOT radioactive." I suggest that Mr. Barton go back to school! U-238 has a half-life of 4.468e+9 year, as opposed to U-235's half-life of 7.038e+8 year. See http://ie.lbl.gov/education/parent/U_iso.htm . DU may or may not be harmful, but any claim that it is not is severly weakened by false statements about its supposed lack of radioactivity. Sincerely, JdL J. A. L. Actually, you have a factual inaccuracy. All isotopes of Uranium are radioactive to some degree, it's just that U-238 is much less radioactive. It doesn't fission like U-235, but it does decay. - Jason Based on this logic, ALL matter is essentially "radioactive." The World's Most Dangerous Ideology We judge people by their actions and words. Those who threaten our freedom and peace will never be allowed to take over our lives or our homes. You can take that to the bank. MamaLiberty Prosecutorial
Misconduct Cannot be Dismissed or Forgotten We need a way for private citizens to charge government officials with crimes. Jason That is what J.A.I.L is all about, at least for judges. We already have ways to charge other officials with crimes, but we seldom use them. Most politicians are re-elected no matter what they do in office. This seems like a logical place to start. MamaLiberty Abstinence
Vs Sex Education If you think raising children to live a moral life is merely a matter of "telling them" anything, I certainly hope you don't have any children. Parents must first model moral behavior consistently, teach and insist on moral behavior from their children from birth, and be completely involved with the lives of their children until they are ready to live on their own. This means KNOWING where the children are, at all times, and never allowing children to play with those of the opposite sex unsupervised. Period. Yes, they must be open and honest with the kids about everything. Even then, some teens will decide to run away or rebel, and some will take the wrong road no matter what we do, but we can no more give them a blank check for it than we would invite a stranger to take our babies to another country. Unfortunately, most parents today didn't have a moral upbringing and a lot of immoral behavior is considered "normal." Absolute integrity and fidelity have been mostly replaced with revolving door "marriage" and easy lies of convenience. MamaLiberty ...and beat them senseless if they disobey? That approach doesn't even work on your dog, 'cause sooner or later either you will kill it or it will bite you! MJA I read my statement above carefully, several times, and I fail to see where you got the idea that I was suggesting that anyone "beat" their children. Teaching and modeling a moral, non-aggressive life and taking the trouble to be completely involved with your children's lives is a far cry from beating them. Involvement and honest dialog create mutual respect and love, not abuse.
Thanks! MamaLiberty |
