“How The Hell Did These People Get In Our Army?”
By Mike Gaddy

I just want any info on how to get out of the army. I been in for nearly a year now and I'm tired of it. I barely see my 13 month old, my wife is pregnant and is 6 weeks along. She's tired with how my aptitude has changed since I joined and is threatening to leave me because I never see her or our son. I feel that I don't know my family anymore since I haven't seen them in 4 months. PLEASE ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Tony

You should have thought about all that before you joined. Just what did you think would happen? Being "tired of it" is hardly a valid reason to wimp out on your commitment, and I'm afraid the Army won't be impressed with it either. We can't advise you on this, even if we agreed with you. Take it up with your commanding officer if you want, but I suspect you don't have any option but to stay for the full time you committed to serve. Grow up and make the best of it. MamaLiberty

Mind Your Own Marriage
By Catfarmer

Listen, when the Catholic Church offers all the benefits of legal marriage (like 401k, life insurance, health insurance, etc.), then you can whine about the Church being forced into doing something it doesn't want to do. You just can't see the point. What allegory could someone possibly come up with to show you that you've COMPLETELY MISSED THE POINT?!

Oh, be assured that I understand you'll just brush this off as liberalist drivel, but I think you owe it to yourself to TRULY understand what a civil marriage is in terms of the rights and responsibilities granted by THE STATE, not Churches. (^)

Our rights and responsibilities are granted by God, not government. What makes you think government should be involved in, let alone control our lives at all? Church involvement is voluntary - and must remain voluntary!

Here is the root of the problem, however. We are willing to let you be a slave to government if that's what you want, but you and your government have no intention of leaving us alone to manage our own affairs in peace. We don't want to dictate anything to you. Can you and your government say the same to us? Of course not... MamaLiberty

How Will We Cure The Radical Feminist Cancer?
by Carey Roberts

You seem to enjoy ranting about the pitfalls of Feminism without actually pointing out exactly HOW it is full of negativity? It seems as if you've spent your time grasping at straws in an effort to counteract the Feminist movement, which would mean that you're against Feminism and Women's Liberation. Is that right, or wrong?

If you have feedback, please email me (address removed) T

Yes indeed! The answer is in the text of this and all of Carey's other articles. "Feminism" and "Women's Liberation" are two phony issues that pit people against each other. How about true liberty and justice for ALL people, everywhere, all the time? Doesn't that sound more productive?

Why don't you go back and read this with that in mind? MamaLiberty

First Amendment First No More
By Lady Liberty

"In short, over the course of recent history, it's becoming abundantly clear that most Americans don't want freedom of religion. They want freedom - and favoritism - of their religion. Everybody else's is second class and must thus be subservient in status and recognition. The First Amendment is becoming damned inconvenient for them. Meanwhile, those who have little or no religion are also finding the Bill of Rights problematic when they can't simply erase all mention of all religion in every public venue." Boo-hoo, Christians are the majority in this country so stop trying to make yourself feel better, as if you're on some sort of Crusade. It's conceited and blatantly naive to hold that you're religion is being treated as second class because favoritism wins out. "Their religion": Kindly explain WHAT religion you speak of! Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Judaism, Ba'hai? Something else? Or, do you speak of "Atheism", which many have mistakenly confused for a "religion." This site speaks a lot about "taking responsibility" as a price of liberty. How about you take the time to do the same. T

Once again, how about liberty and justice for ALL people, not just some? Why should anyone be "second class" where rights are concerned, whether they are in the majority or not? That's what this article was all about. Too bad you have such a twisted agenda that you can't see it. MamaLiberty

I agreed with Lady Liberty's " First Amendment First No More" up until the point she took to task some Christians campaigning to stop the showing of a TV show. The First amendment and "free speech" is strictly a government vs. people idea. Since the Christians' campaign did not involve force what is wrong with it? Can't Christians (or anyone) tell others that I won't associate (buy your stuff) with you if you continue such and such behaviour? Ed Ward

The problem here is that these "Christians" are not just telling the TV people they won't buy stuff. They are trying to get government to FORCE the TV station to change their programming. I'm sure you would agree that's a very different situation. MamaLiberty

Libertarian Proposals For The Constitution (Part Two)
By Nathan Barton

One suggestion I would implement in a proposal for the constitution can be found here - http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig3/gonella1.html - Jason

Thanks! Your message has been sent to Nathan. MamaLiberty

Mr. Barton refers to the 13th amendment as the one that gave us popular election of U.S. Senators. I thought, when I read the first article, that this was simply a typo. However, he said the same thing in both articles. It was actually the 17th Amendment that did this. The 13th abolished "involuntary servitude." H. S.

Is "Stop-Loss" Of Troops Enslavement?
By Nathan Barton

I think you are misinformed; the stop loss is for critical/non-critical skill MOS's and ends as soon as the soldier returns from duty (mobilization). This is not to trap the soldier. It serve's many purposes from unit strength to pay/benefits for the soldier and his/her family. SFC K.

Since I have friends who were directly involved in this process and wound up spending far more time deployed than they had originally committed, I would have to say that the actual practice of this goes far beyond the book definition you gave here. I suppose your definition was the original intent, but government doesn't let that stop them from doing whatever they want - no matter who's lives are destroyed in the process.

Obviously, the best way to avoid this injustice is not to join the military in the first place. I just wish it was that easy to opt out of all the rest of the tyranny and destruction. MamaLiberty

Betrayal of Women - VAWA 2005
By Trudy W. Schuett

Thank you so much you are so right. Trudy, why don't coalitions see this?

What "coalitions" are you talking about? People don't "see this" because it doesn't serve their agenda of dominance and destruction of the family. The truth is the enemy of those who want to run our lives to suit themselves - at our expense!

Maybe we need to spend more time working to defend ourselves instead of worrying about why they don't understand. MamaLiberty

Would the Montana Firearms Freedom Act Stop Federal Usurpation of Power under the Commerce Clause?
By Robert Greenslade

The Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights, and passed long after the Original Constitution was ratified clarifies and limits to the very bone the already limited powers granted to the Congress in passing laws. Nowhere Congress was granted authority to pass State Laws. If we imply that the Commerce Clause is still valid and binding then there is no need for a Constitution in our "Republic" as all the State Laws or actions by citizens are subject to the whim of Congress and can be changed and federalized anytime.

As for gun control, the Second Amendment needs no interpretation. The article gives no rights to the Congress and or the States to pass any "appropriate legislation" on the matter. Does anyone see the following at the end of the Second Amendment?: " Congress and the States shall have power to enforce this act by appropriate legislation?" There is none, which means that the power to form a people's militia was granted exclusively to the people.

We cannot allow a wild Congress' interference in our basic rights and the U.S. Supreme Court to pass political Statutes. More references can be obtained visiting: http://www.usapoliticaltyranny.info Strong activism is necessary because thousands of people, not just violent criminals, are serving very long jail terms for minor nonviolent convictions. Anyone is in danger of becoming a victim of this dictatorial government. Allisio Rex

What do we really need government to do in the first place? What "should" it do that is worth the risk of tyranny? How is it possible to control ANY government once formed? Those are questions I can't get a good answer for... MamaLiberty

What's Wrong With The Pledge of Allegiance
By Robert Greenslade

I stopped reading it after I read something about how no one else looks at any other words of the Pledge of Allegiance except for "under God". I think this is very true. This site helped me with a research paper and gave me more points on how I can prove my topic. Thank you Taylor

Why did you stop reading there? Research means learning all you can about something, not quitting as soon as you find one or two facts you agree with. A big part of education is learning how to learn! Please go back and read all of this fine article, and some of the others listed on the right side of the page. I'm sure you'll be glad you did. A Time For Action - Let's Abolish The Dangerous "Patriot Act"
by Ted Lang

I loved your article. It's entirely too true, but try to get the general public to believe that this all is happening. I guess they all want us to hide our head in the sand and wait for our "government" to do UNTO us!!!! M. C. D.

Unfortunately, most of the people in this country are all too willing to have government continue xactly what they are doing - handing out stolen goods and running everyone's life. As long as they get some of the goodies and/or can feel "holier than thou," they don't mind being slaves. MamaLiberty
