Lessons To Learn From Terri Schaivo

Below is a letter I sent to the Governor and Lt. Governor of Massachusetts. I thought you might like to read it. Please, let me know if there is ANYTHING else I can do.

Dear Governor Mitt Romney:
I have written to you before and I know you have read my e-mails. It was nice of your office to answer my e-mail with a letter telling me that my e-mail will be forwarded to the proper staff member. I, then, wrote back to tell you that YOU were the proper staff member. I did not receive a response to that e-mail.

Well, now I am totally outraged!!! My e-mails are in connection with Haleigh Poutre, the 11 year old girl, technically, being held hostage by the judicial system. I have just read a FOX News update that stated, the Department of Social Services was granted the right to have Haleigh's life support taken off.

What the hell is wrong with the people in this country? This child is an innocent VICTIM. This child should be given the RIGHT TO LIVE. She is an American!!! Do the words LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS ring a bell?

Haleigh is NOT a statistic. She is a REAL live human being. I have told you in previous e-mails about Kate Adamson. She, too, was on life support and her husband, Steve, was told by a team of Doctors, (not by God) that there was NO hope of her ever recovering and living a "normal" life. Well, thank God for Steve. Steve NEVER gave up hope. No matter how many Doctors, etc., told him that he should let her "DIE WITH DIGNITY", he NEVER wavered. His faith that Kate would pull through is the reason Kate is alive and well today. Now, she is "LIVING, WITH DIGNITY"!!!

I stated also in my prior e-mails that I could put you in touch with Kate and Steve Adamson. You can hear their story from them, they LIVED it! NOW, Governor Romney, is the time for you to step in. Don't let this child be victimized any further. Don't let people who never knew her and have no emotion connection to her, make this outrageous decision to KILL Haleigh. YOU are the head of the government in your state. You are the one that needs to step up to the plate and save this child. Take Haleigh under your wing. You have vowed to serve and PROTECT the people of your state. She IS a PERSON that certainly is covered by this oath.

I am happy that the courts at least did not recognize Jason Strickland as her "parent". He is certainly, no parent. I hope he rots in hell. The article also, stated that the reason he wants her kept alive is so that he is not charged with her murder. I don't give a rats ass what his reasons were. He should have no say in what happens because in Haleigh's young life, his only connection is that he is the man (bastard) that helped to brutally beat this child.

I am so disgusted with the judges of OUR nation. I'm sure you remember the Terri(Schaivo)Schindler case. Don't let Terri's death be in vain. (And I purposely put Schaivo in parenthesis because I HATE the thought that she even had that name as her own.) Why do judges think they have the right to kill someone with no repercussions? They make the judgment and go on with their lives like nothing happened. This to me is a crime in itself. What makes these judges so damn hard inside that they can take away life without ANY feelings whatsoever? The world watched in horror while Terri's family fought so violently to save her from the fate she was handed down by a JUDGE. I can't understand how people can live with themselves after taking an innocent life. Please, don't let this happen again.

Take control of your state and STOP this injustice. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Let me be the guardian for Haleigh. Let me give this the child the love she deserves, the love she obviously never knew. Don't let these doctors convince ANYONE that there is no hope. The only time there is no hope is after she is DEAD. She is ALIVE right now. Let's keep it that way. Let's leave it up to God when she is taken home to be with HIM. I am NOT by any means a religious freak but I do believe in God and His powers. This is so evident in Kate Adamson's case. If Steve had listened to her doctors, Kate would be gone, today. Instead, she is living a full and healthy life. I will be sending a copy of this letter to FOX News, Kate and Steve Adamson, Kate's publicist, Wanda Sanchez, Janet Folger of f2action and your Lt. Governor. If necessary, these are NOT the only people that will be hearing from me. DO your duty. Step up NOW, before it's too late.
