02, 2006 Here's a thought to "wrap your brain around" ...there are "proper and approved" veterans. Then there are those who are not. I was once the former. Now I am very most (sic) the latter. In point of fact, the VA begs me to come there so as to "follow me". But that's a story for another day. joseph zack When we accept the promises of government to "take care of us," we will always be disappointed because it is not possible for them to do what they promise, even if they really intended to. There are thousands of intelligent, dedicated people trying to provide good medical care for veterans and everyone else. Unfortunately, the game is set up so that everybody loses except the politicians who's only concern is their own power over the rest of us. We won't get anywhere with this until we stop giving that power to anyone and take back personal responsibility for our health and our lives. Oh yes, and we can stop the abuse of veterans by stopping all the wars that create them and their injuries. MamaLiberty President
Not Above The Law If I were Sen Spector I'd be ** glad that the JFK murder, and his explicit roll as an accessory after the fact, has not truly unfolded as yet. Were I Sen PTSD from Arizona, I'd be ** glad that I escaped indictment in the Keating Five "scandal". Screw both of them. As to anything stated by a democratic Sen., screw them too for their half + century exhortations for moral relativism, secular humanism, socialist collectivism, and of the like. Whenever a Sen. of either political party states anything whatsoever, I fight back the impulse to either vomit my stomach's contents, or a bout of uncontrollable dry heaving. nuff said patrick henry Reread this article. Sen. Levin ? Sen. Levin ? I nominate this creature as one of the most evil "things" to have arrived and infested wash. , D.C. in nearly a century. I won't even waste my time doing the most brief inventory of this thing's activities towards suppressing liberty as I understand it. patick henry Unfortunately, you need to read it again - very slowly. You seem to have missed the whole point of the article at least twice already. MamaLiberty Libertarian
Commentary on The News "The federal effort continues, but at least local and state agencies didn't participate directly." I was under the impression that federal law enforcement agents needed to work with locals to have any jurisdiction at all ... but it wouldn't surprise me to hear they broke the law and got away with it. - Jason I don't think there is any area of government that falls within the true rule of law. They pretty much do just whatever they please and anyone who makes a protest had better watch their back. MamaLiberty
