July 01, 2005 The "JUNE 23rd Movement" is dedicated to the purpose of restoring the constitution, especially the Bill of Rights, through a variety of actions. The top sign in the bottom section of this page is one of their first ideas to create interest: "If you are opposed to the recent decision by the SCOTUS "erasing any significant difference between public and private property" in this nation, you are urged to print out, in black-and-white or color, this sign (see section below), and put it on your house, your car, your place of business, the gate to your house, farm or ranch, and to encourage as many people as possible to do the same, to show your solidarity with the 15 families in New London, and thousands more families and businesses across this nation, who are having their property stolen for "public use" for whatever puny justification local or other tyrants can come up with. DO NOT PUT THIS SIGN UP UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON WHAT IT SAYS. But if you believe that liberty and our American way of life are more important than "economic development," big corporations, higher tax revenues, or convenience, then we ask you to join all of us in the June 23rd Coalition to fight against this barbaric act of tyranny." This is NOT an attempt to overthrow the United States or any State government, but rather is an attempt to restore and protect the Constitution from "counterrevolutionaries" who threaten it covertly, but increasingly openly. Here is another suggestion for action, especially over the coming holiday. NATIONAL PROTEST: To show solidarity with other property owners around the country, were suggesting folks do something simple on Independence Day: Fly a Gadsden ("Don't Tread on Me") flag, post a sign (e.g., Hands Off My Home, Thou Shalt Not Steal, Develop, Dont Destroy) in your window or join your local Independence Day celebration, or anything else you think would work, making sure to highlight the abuse of eminent domain. ...Homemade signs are the best. We would appreciate your feedback! Please tell us what you did and, if possible, the reactions of your neighbors and even the local government. Confidentiality will be maintained for those who request it, of course, but the more we can publish, the more we will encourage others to join us in this action. Susan Callaway,
