The Politics Of Social Destruction At The UN
By Carey Roberts

Jan Fransen has come up with a new solution to the old problem of population control: AIDS.

At a meeting of the United Nations Population Fund, Fransen told his surprised audience that to "increase mortality" was one way to limit population growth in Africa. Fransen then made the jocular comment that "AIDS was helping to do the work of population control in Africa."

With that mindset lurking at the UN, is it any surprise that the global campaign to stem the spread of AIDS has been a colossal failure?

Fed up with the shenanigans at the United Nations, the US House of Representatives has now issued an ultimatum to Kofi Annan. Implement 46 designated reforms by 2007, or else we'll slash the US dues payment by half. That would cost the UN a cool $221 million. (Read the rest here)

Remembering The Lessons Of Germany's Past
By Chuck Baldwin

For years, I struggled to comprehend how the good people of Germany could allow someone such as Adolph Hitler to lead them into what became World War II. After all, before Hitler's rise to power, Germany had a rich Christian heritage. The Reformation out of the Dark Ages had its roots deeply imbedded in Germany and surrounding countries.

Furthermore, Germany has long produced some of the most intelligent and creative people on the planet! Many of the world's greatest engineers and scientists have come from Germany and Austria. When it comes to knowledge and education, the Germanic people take a back seat to no one.

How, then, could the good, intelligent people of Germany follow and support someone such as Hitler? For years I struggled to find the answer to that puzzle. Now, I believe I understand. (Read the rest here)

The second day of summer - cooking already! Spring's snows and rains are far behind us. And we're ALL getting older, which is why I'm starting out with this story, a very important one for liberty-lovers. At least I think so, but that is my opinion and not necessarily that of TPoL or anyone else!

The human brain: use it or lose it
IOL (South Africa)
Exercise your brain. Nourish it well. And the earlier you start, the better. That's the best advice doctors can yet offer to ward off Alzheimer's disease. There's no guarantee. But more and more research shows that some fairly simple steps can truly lower your risk of the deadly dementia. Also, if Alzheimer's strikes anyway, people who have followed this advice tend to do better - their brains withstand the attack longer before symptoms become obvious.

Well, in today's world, no lover of liberty should have a hard time following this medical advice: keep your brain active, challenged, keep studying and learning, and don't be a couch potato!

Mama's Note: The role of good nutrition can't be overstated! Don't trust to herbal preparations to replace nutrition either. Feed your whole body with real food and limit junk to a very occasional treat if you must have it at all. Real, whole food and clean water are the most important parts of health for anyone, along with mental stimulation and physical exercise. TV and junk food are equally poison. (Read the rest here)
