April 01, 2005 This is my last word directly pertaining to the Terri Schiavo tragedy. Terri Schiavo died this morning at 9:05 AM ET (Thursday, 03-31-05) in a hospice in Florida.
The polls most often cited in the case of Terri Schiavo asked people if they found themselves to be in her condition, would they want to live that way? Naturally, the majority replied they would not.

Commentary on The News I started writing this column before the news came (just before 8 AM my time-zone on Thursday) that Terri Schiavo has finally been killed. Actually, she was killed fourteen days ago - it just took 14 agonizing days for her to die. The stinking NPR called her death "the most litigated right-to-die case in history" but it wasn't: it was judicial murder: using the law to kill an innocent woman. And our nine "men in black" and most all of 435 "lawmakers", plus their counterparts in the state of Florida, have her blood on their hands. But so do all Americans, either directly or through inaction, because it is WE who have allowed these people to take over our nation. Is this the spark that will set off a conflagration that sweeps away this corrupt and deathdealing system? Or will the nuts and extremists ruin it? The next time you or I see a judge, a legislator, a cop, yes, and even a doctor or a nurse, we need to ask ourselves, is THIS person as willing to let ME or MY loved ones be killed as an innocent victim, for their convenience, hiding behind the "rule of law" and claiming the moral high ground?
