March 09, 2005 For sheer propaganda value, it doesn't get any better than the United Nations women's conference, which wraps up later this week in New York City. No doubt you are wondering why your local newspaper didn't cover this historic event. The reason is, the sessions were so mired in fem-speak and harsh rhetoric that the ultra-liberal New York Times decided to take a pass. Ditto for the Washington Post and Boston Globe. Ten years ago in Beijing, the Commission on the Status of Women conference gave its speakers free rein. But then Madame Hillary let loose with her keynote rant, making nonsense claims such as "Women are 70% of the world's poor". (Read the rest here)

Diablo And Send Money Two things, plus some broader issues: First, the national debt went up $86 billion in February. Thats more than $3 billion a day, weekends and holidays included. Second, Bush lies when he promises not to raise payroll taxes. Hes raised them every year that hes been in office, all five years including 2005. NATIONAL DEBT Since his inauguration Bush has increased the national debt $2 trillion. Of the $86 billion increase last month, almost $80 billion was borrowed from foreign nations. Several of these same nations are warning us to get our act together and threatening to come off the dollar thats falling in value. They could cash-in their treasuries anytime. (Read the rest here)
