Tomorrow is Armistice Day, better known to Americans as Veterans Day. It celebrated the end of the most destructive war known to the modern world, at the time that it ended, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. It was, according to the various government propagandists, the “War to Save Democracy” and the “War to End All Wars” - and it was none of these things. Of course, it wasn’t the first, and certainly wasn’t the last time, that an American government (or any other government) lied. At least, that is my opinion - and definitely NOT that of TPoL, RRND, many other libertarians, and a whole big batch of statists.

Texas seeks to preemptively ban Internet hunting

Among the new regulations proposed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for 2005 is this one:
Prohibition of hunting by remote control. This issue centers on the use of Internet technology as it relates to the taking of wildlife resources.

This is NOT a spoof, as far as I can tell. Apparently (seriously or tongue in cheek) someone is trying to let people sign up and do target shooting, and perhaps game shooting, via an Internet connection - virtual range visits. But apparently, the watchdogs of the State, ever eager to protect the king’s… excuse me, the PEOPLE’S game from such nasty tricks as having a remote-control gun or other “unfair” hunting practices, have already moved to prohibit it. Whether you support Fathers 4 Justice or not; whether you agree or disagree with our methods, we have achieved world-wide media coverage with our actions. Please capitalise on what we have achieved raising our issue in
the public arena and get involved with the following action on Friday December 17th., either in support of Fathers 4 Justice, in support of your own group, as individuals but more importantly - in support of your children and their future!
