A Secret No More! - The Lone Star Ranger Unmasked
By Ted Lang © 2004

There is no need to review again what has already been made both painfully and abundantly clear and repeatedly observed: Senator John Kerry cleaned President George Bush's clock in the first televised presidential debate in the three part series. And although The New York Times and the network TV news media are biased in favor of Democrat John Kerry, and Rush Limbaugh, talk radio and FOXSNews are biased favoring Republican President George Bush, the only dime's worth of difference between the two candidates is in their debate and speechmaking capabilities - Bush doesn't have any! George W. Bush & the “Mandate of Heaven”
By William Marina

Since at least the epic of Job described in the Bible, humans have tried to understand why their God has inflicted cruelties upon believers. Many years ago, I recall my daughter of almost four, after we had been in an auto accident which injured my year-and-a-half-old son, asking my mother what had he done wrong to deserve such punishment from God?

Empires, such as that here in America, exalted by the neoconservative faithful such as William Kristol, are especially in need of rationalizations to explain the awful things happening abroad such as global “terrorism,” as well as the quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan. Add to that the most unusual hurricane season in decades, where such entities as “Ivan” don’t easily die, but are reborn and circle back, and some may ask what has America’s fundamentalist leadership under George W. Bush done to make God so angry at this nation? (Read the rest here)

Libertarian Commentary on The Day's News
By Nathan A. Barton © 2004

We now begin service without the benefit of Freedom Net Daily, and we already miss Sunni and her approach. However, Tom, Mary Lou and their partners in crime are still here to fill the gap, and we appreciate them, too! From now on, this column will contain news items mainly gathered from RRND, and will use their numbering, but I will NOT necessarily comment on all their news items, since there is only so much that can be said about one subject where the news is (sadly and heart-wrenchingly) all too often the same. I will also add commentary about other news stories from various sources from time to time, including those of readers who care to submit stories to be included. Needless to say, the views and opinions contained in this column are insightful and inspired, and do NOT necessarily reflect those of the International House of Liberty, TPoL, RRND, LP-US, or any other organization or gang or group or clan or family or committee or institution!

1) Iraq: Explosions rock Baghdad, at least eight killed
Reuters
The stories do start to remind you of the newspapers and radio reports from London during the Blitz, where the same bloody awful things happened over and over again. If there had been reporters wandering around Germany during the Thirty Years War, would the same thing have happened? Would it have bothered anyone any more then than it seems to, now?

Price of Liberty Reader's Forum AND Feedback!

Dear Readers. I need your help to determine what to do about our feedback. The current system is very inadequate and it is cumbersome to get your comments to the authors. We set up one of our writers, Ed Ward with a topic in the reader's forum for feedback, thinking that this would be much better for everyone, but so far only he and I have posted anything to it.

Please take a look at the "Onsite Articles" and let us know if this is something you would like to use for feedback, if you would prefer we stay with the current system, or have an idea for something completely different. I know that it may be a little inconvenient to register for the forum, but I hope you will decide that it is worth the effort. Please just give it a try. Your information will never be given or sold to anyone else for any purpose.

The current feedback system for all archived articles will remain in place, but you can post comments on old articles to that writer's forum topic at any time instead.

Thank you so much for your help and support! MamaLiberty
