Although corporate mainstream media haters and bashers, and I consider myself as one of these, are wringing their hands and participating in kicking Dan Rather while he’s down and caught up in yet another “journalistic” gaffe, I’m A
OK with the whole thing. In fact, permit me to be totally frank: I’m lovin’ it!

Let me explain. There are very few professions that aren’t governed by an internal code of standards or ethics; the Hippocratic Oath for physicians is an example. CPA’s have a code set by their American Institute. Only a few professions fail to exhibit any standards of morality, professionalism or accountability.

In fact, and in all likelihood, you can count such “professions” on the fingers of one hand! In my opinion, they are politicians, criminals, lawyers, journalists and street vendors!

Journalists are accountable to no one - they never have been. This is easily the greatest mistake made by the Founding Fathers of this once-great nation, a nation now rapidly descending in its history and becoming a run-of-the-mill fascist police state, albeit the most powerful one on the planet right now.

My contempt for televised and print news media started when I was a teenager. I opposed the oppression foisted upon young people by the criminal partnership of the “media” and corrupt politicians. Both wanted to raise the drinking age, refuse to allow 18 year-olds to vote, disallow adolescents from purchasing firearms until age 21, and so forth; but joining the military at age 17 to get their arms and legs blown off, or even killed, was okay with the media/politician partnership. I learned to hate the media because of their achievement in saddling America with gun control, which has accelerated our demise to fascism.

But nothing alienated me more towards the media than when a draft-dodging womanizer, and the most anti-gun political charlatan, Bill Clinton, literally got caught with his pants down. Newsweek had the exclusive on the biggest blockbuster headline of the century: the president of the United States being serviced in the Oval Office of the people’s White House by a 21-year-old intern. Now that was news!

What did Newsweek, a highly visible and key player in the corporate mainstream news media do? They spiked the story! Can you believe it?! To save a beloved Democrat, they jettisoned their “professional” calling to save a corrupt and immoral politician.

Think about this: Does it really matter precisely what their motives were? Were they acting to protect the highest member of our central government, or rather spiking the story to protect their number one Democrat? Here’s my point: It doesn’t matter either way! What matters is they violated the only standard ever created for them: the standard of a free and independent press necessary to inform the people to keep American government and its powerful politicians accountable and in check.

Matt Drudge got wind of the story and thankfully broke it! And Clinton was impeached! The mainstream media hate him for it! But that’s precisely why we need a free press. Bill Clinton was not held accountable for providing missile guidance secrets to the Communist Chinese military; nor was he held accountable for enriching their commercial venture, the Lippo Group, by freezing via an Executive Order land grab, the coal mining operations in Utah that would have competed with the Indonesian mining interests of his Communist financiers.

When Rush Limbaugh pointed these criminal activities out, and established Clinton’s activities as blatant violations of our Constitution, I was not only with Rush, but also with Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and FOXNews. I couldn’t wait for the corrupt Clinton machine to be totally removed from office.

And then along came the “Bush revolution,” with a blast of fresh air in 2000, and again with the interim congressional elections of 2002. But what happened? Republicans were now fully in control of America, and America has descended into fascism with such rapidity that the majority of Americans won’t know what’s going on until United States Federal Police confiscate their homes, their businesses, draft their children and murder or imprison their families.

Who’s screaming about this - Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, FOXNews? None of them are attacking Bush. Same deal as when Clinton was emperor of the realm. Again, does it really matter if it’s partisan politics or government media control?

Remember the list of unaccountable “professions” I mentioned earlier? Who cares how they double-cross and cheat each other and knife each other in the back? Sit back and enjoy the show!
