What Does Denial Of Constitutional Rights Accomplish?
By Ed Ward, MD, MT

What has 5 Years of Intensive Intervention of Domestic Violence against Women and 100 Years of Denial of Father's Constitutional Rights Accomplished?

As for domestic violence homicides in the United States, in 2002, 1247 women were killed by intimates and 440 men were killed by intimates. Despite, or because of, an estimated 1.7 million restraining orders that completely remove an alleged "abuser" from their home, children, future finances and sometimes even their careers. Intimate partner homicides of women have increased on a percentage basis. While homicides for women and total homicides are decreasing, the percentage of intimate partner female homicides are INCREASING. In the last 5 years, intimate partner female murders have continuously increased from 26% of female homicides to 33% of all female homicides. In Massachusetts, in 2000, 24,000 of the 36,000 restraining orders enacted were placed JUST for the unsubstantiated "claim" of "fear". In the Santa Clara County Death Review Committee (SCCDRC) report, despite, or because of, restraining orders increasing 660% over the last 8 years, deaths have consistently doubled when RO's doubled.

1- Election overseers under siege, hoping for big presidential win
Wired
All indications are this year will see a drop in voter turnout, and all the problems of 2000 PLUS - and however optimistic these guys are in public, I'm hearing that they are worried.

2- U.S. hired incompetent air marshals?
Arizona Daily Star
Oh, surely not - this MUST be the work of some Kerry plant or Demo-symp - pure disinformation. No way our beloved guvmint would make a mistake like this - no way. I just can't believe it. <blink> (Read the rest here)

Sack AIPAC! And Abolish Their Tax Exempt Status
By Ted Lang © 2004

Why should treason be tax-exempt? Contributions to the Republican or Democratic Party and the National Rifle Association are not deductible on our tax returns because these are deemed as political activities. Our tax law does not allow political contributions to be deducted as is the case with charitable contributions. The powerful “Jewish” lobby that is dedicated to furthering the interests of Israel IS tax deductible! Why is that?!

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is the so-called “Jewish lobby.” It has been proclaimed the second most powerful lobby in Washington, right behind AARP, the American Association of Retired Persons, according to Fortune magazine. AIPAC exists only to benefit Israel, a socialist foreign country virtually solely dependent on American taxpayer funding. (Read the rest here)

Bush’s “War on Terror”: No Lack of Imagination
By Ivan Eland

According to one of the main findings of the 9/11 Commission, the U.S. government’s failure to anticipate the grave threat from al Qaeda prior to the September 11 attacks was a failure of imagination. Since those attacks, however, the Bush administration’s broad “war on terror” has exhibited nothing but imagination.

To begin with, President Bush has the chimerical and dangerously naïve notion that al Qaeda attacks America because of its freedoms—that is, the United States is attacked for what it is and not what it does. All evidence is to the contrary. Both Western and Islamic authorities on al Qaeda tell us that the group attacks the United States because of its foreign policy toward the Moslem world. Osama bin Laden believes the U.S. military’s presence and actions in Islamic lands, as well as its support for corrupt governments there, are tantamount to a modern day “crusade.” President Bush’s disastrous use of the c-word to describe U.S. policy merely confirmed the obvious to many Moslems around the world. Repeated polls of the Islamic world demonstrate that intense anti-U.S. hatred is generated by U.S. foreign policy, not by U.S. culture, technology, or political and economic freedoms. In fact, those latter characteristics of U.S. society are often admired in Moslem lands. (Read the rest here)
