July 27,
2004 It would be very appropriate if a meteorite shower rained down some uncontrollable insecurity on these twits. Security? Life is not now and never has been secure. It's true that since 1865 we have not had blood-shedding war on America's home turf (excuse, me, der Homeland) but we did lose 600,000 American lives in that conflict. We weren't too far past the Revolution, the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American wars when the war between the North and South (Union and Confederacy) devastated both the American States and the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. By 1898-1901, the US was involved in the Spanish-American war, sixteen years later this nation was heavily involved in World War I only to find itself heavily involved in World War II just 23 years later. National security? We've never had any. Political forces and emotionalism, coupled with fears that have grown in the fertile fields of Homeland peace and prosperity since 1945 have created a false sense of "security" for all Americans who don't think, who believe major media, who can't read the handwriting on the wall or who refuse to believe that this isn't your grandfather's America. Americans have been brought up to believe that it's good for the US to have weapons of mass destruction, mass deception and create mass Homeland delusion since the beginning of federalized indoctrination, the government program that substitutes for education in America. The biggest threat to "national security" if any existed is the lack of ability among the American people to THINK and their refusal to do so in the face of political correctness and dependency on the nanny state. We're out of stock when it comes to the Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Benjamin Franklin genre of men. We do have some women trying to take their place, which is national humor of a sickly sort. AIDS is a world health threat along with SARS, West Nile, locust plagues, severe weather changes, drought and flooding in different parts of the same country, the potential failure or other hazards of genetically-modified foods, and thousands of other hazards to life and well-being. Two towers fell on September 11, 2001, and the media has made certain that we Americans have never been permitted to feel at ease in our own homes (excuse me, Homeland) since that date. It isn't just Republican rhetoric, it is Democratic party rhetoric as well. Who can subjugate American citizens sufficiently to guarantee the safety of der Homeland? What should be frightening us into the wet socks stage is the emphasis on national (Homeland) security. The idea of electing a president who is a great commander in chief has come to the forefront, not which person is a man with vision, leadership, wisdom and prudence. We're so blinkin military-minded now that a military coup probably would be viewed as part of Homeland security. Yes, the president of the United States is the commander-in-chief of the military. Leaders with astute minds for depending on and verifying the knowledge and information provided by experts is far preferable to seeking out a leader, a president, who has a military mind. If America is to move forward with correcting its internal problems rather than making additional problems for itself with foreign nations, thus upping the need for "Homeland security" it needs a leader with vision for the entire nation, not merely military action. We do not need more generals or politicians, the nation is over the top with generals and politicians. The empty cup is labeled "statesmen." America needs a leader who will publicly declare an end to political correctness and the re-installation of the Constitution as the law of the land, and to hell with the Supreme Court justices who opine differently. The reason no such leaders appear is that the powers that be, the non-elected heads of the military/industrial complex, will not have any such person make an inch of progress in the direction of restoring America. It is the very opposite of the Global Governance agenda, and so those who are nominated in public are first nominated in private by the ruling junta. All the "programs" outlined by the major political parties would never stand the test of constitutionality, and a suckling public of non-thinkers calls for even more programs. They never stop to consider that the "government" has but one source of income and that is taxation! A call for more programs is a call for increasing the national debt burden, which consists of fiat money anyway. And so another election year proceeds toward the first Tuesday in November, under the heaviest security ever assembled in the United States. You want "Homeland" security? Shangri-la is far better and just as certain of being discovered.
