Politically Incorrect Movie Reviews
Fahrenheit 9/11
By RadioFree Rocky D

Just as the movie started, I took a count of all the people in the theatre – there were 31. And this was opening night. There was me, my producer, Donna Darlin’, two normal-looking 20-somethings sitting right behind us and the other 27 people in the theatre I can only describe as freaks & geeks. From the very beginning of Moore’s propaganda parade the freaks & geeks (heretofore known as F&G’s) were nodding their noggins like bobblehead dolls in complete sycophantic agreement with anything and everything they saw. This is when it hit me; Michael Moore has found his niche – ripping off blind followers of the liberal mantra, George Dubya is an evil being and must be stopped before he kills the planet. If you believe Fahrenheit 9/11 is a factual-based documentary, then you also believe This Is Spinal Tap is a real documentary; and in that case I can give you a great deal on the purchase of the Brooklyn Bridge. No really; I’ll sell it to you cheap. (Read the rest here)

1- U.S. gov refuels 'reefer madness' fears
Hmm. What does this make of alcohol, the recreational drug of choice of even more people - or of, gasp, caffeine, certainly used by millions more today than just a few years ago! Of course, the dangers presented by MJ today, to _government_, certainly are greater than a few years ago, as millions of people vote in favor of medical MJ and other efforts to reduce the impact of government enforcement on others. Maybe that's what they are talking about.

2- IRS private contractors fail to meet privacy standards
Of course, no one points out that the IRS itself doesn't meet these same standards, and that their computers leak like a sieve, especially to politicians.

The Government War on People
Susan Callaway, Editor

A letter to the editor:
I don't hear anybody talking about the patient. The patient who gets in trouble because their trusted doctor fails to tell them that there is a law requiring them to tell their doctor if they have received or are receiving pain meds from another doctor or that they have received pain meds within the past 30 days. I still can find little on the internet regarding this.

I was recently approach by a "special agent" telling me that there was a complaint against me (wouldn't not tell me the source) regarding pain meds prescribed to me. I was supposed to tell my GYN doctor that my dentist gave me pain meds two weeks ago, etc. they take my ins. info., they give me a HIPPA form to sign and they never mention the above. I have been seeing all of my doctors (GYN, GP and dentist) regularly and for many years. (Read the rest here)

Oops, They Invaded the Wrong Country?
By Ivan Eland

A potentially major news story—that Iran had more connections with al Qaeda than Iraq ever did, according to the 9/11 Commission’s interim report—has been relegated to the back pages of national newspapers and underplayed by the electronic media. The commission found that as many as 10 of the September 11 hijackers were given safe passage by the Iranians during the year before the attacks. Has the U.S. media already become so cynical about the Bush administration’s motives for invading Iraq that this does not even rate a front page news story?

Maybe, privately, reporters are not that surprised that Iran had closer ties with al Qaeda than Iraq did with the terror group. After all, before the war, the U.S. government knew that the most active state sponsor of terrorism was Iran, not Iraq. In fact, Iraq was not very active at all in sponsoring terrorist attacks. Many opponents of the Iraq invasion argued convincingly that Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda had little ideological affinity. Given that Osama bin Laden’s main goal is to cleanse the Islamic world of corrupt, secular regimes, it was illogical that al Qaeda and Iraq would have much in common. In fact, the 9/11 Commission has concluded that no “collaborative relationship” existed between Iraq and al Qaeda.

Free Hunter: Collateral Damage
by Carl Bussjaeger

American Independence Day has come and gone, along with the traditional boom and glare of fireworks that bring joy to many kids, young and old.

Picture two such of the younger children: Adorable little girls just six and four years old respectively, Mikayla and Brittany. Imagine their anticipation as the big day approaches and they look forward not only to the beloved fireworks, but also to the arrival of their favorite uncle Jeff, whom they haven't seen in months.

Now picture the adorable little girls' disappointment because a suited goon in Ohio wouldn't let Uncle Jeff come see his family. Yes, Mikayla and Brittany are just two more victims of the Ashland County, Ohio prosecutor's office.

Call them "collateral damage," more innocents caught in the cross-fire as the run-amuck prosecutors pursue their vendetta against Jeffrey "Hunter" Jordan. (Read the rest here)
