More than 200 years ago, a group of people who had relocated from their homes to a place they hoped would prove more free were disillusioned by a government that - though largely out of touch with the common man - continued to rule the people unbendingly. Most tried to be reasonable and patient; but those things having failed, a significant number of them eventually rebelled. The result of that successful rebellion was the United States of America. As we once again celebrate the anniversary of the public Declaration of Independence of those brave men and women, we find ourselves come full circle. We are presently closer to being subjects than citizens of a government that cares far more about power and authority than it does about freedom. Today, rather than revolution and bloodshed, some are intending to rebel via the political system in consolidated areas. The Free State Wyoming project is one such effort. (Read the rest here)
Ban
the Gun Bans! They Motivate Crime! Prior to the enactment of completely unlawful, unconstitutional firearm laws, restrictions and infringements, perpetrated against the American people by their alleged representatives in the Congress, harangued gun owners had always contemplated a sort of self-destructive or self-defeating death wish of sorts. If only there was a way to bring about the wishes of gun controllers [read gun abolitionists] and simply enact a total ban such as Senator Dianne Feintstein is on record as desiring, and then analyzing honestly and openly the results of that experiment. Fortunately, this much-needed experiment and its results are in! This will serve to end the debate as to whether or not gun control reduces crime. (Read the rest here)

The
Draft Is Fascist A former speechwriter for President Richard Nixon thinks his old boss made a mistake when he ended the military draft in the early 1970s during the war in Vietnam. Noel Koch reports that Nixon himself came to believe he erred and "[urged] that the draft be restored." Well, thats too bad. My only reason for crediting Nixon has been taken away. Nixon was one of the worst presidents ever to have occupied the office. This is so not only for the usual reasons given, but also because he imposed on the country an intrusive bureaucracy that rivals those left behind by Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson. Think of an idiotic law that some peaceable individual is harassed for violating, and chances are it s being enforced by an imbecile agency created by Nixon. (Read the rest here)

Commencement 2014
Through a flaw in the space-time continuum, an audio report of a future university commencement speech appeared on my desk. Because it has implications both for physics and for current events, I transcribed the recording. It is reproduced below: (An address to the graduates of Trinity College, Cambridge University. Given by ... at the Leaver's Service in the Trinity College Chapel on June 25, 2014.) "Then

Free
Hunter: Collateral Damage American Independence Day has come and gone, along with the traditional boom and glare of fireworks that bring joy to many kids, young and old. Picture two such of the younger children: Adorable little girls just six and four years old respectively, Mikayla and Brittany. Imagine their anticipation as the big day approaches and they look forward not only to the beloved fireworks, but also to the arrival of their favorite uncle Jeff, whom they haven't seen in months. Now picture the adorable little girls' disappointment because a suited goon in Ohio wouldn't let Uncle Jeff come see his family. Yes, Mikayla and Brittany are just two more victims of the Ashland County, Ohio prosecutor's office. Call them "collateral damage," more innocents caught in the cross-fire as the run-amuck prosecutors pursue their vendetta against Jeffrey "Hunter" Jordan. (Read the rest here)
