The Zionist Agenda - They Totally Control Goliath!
By Ted Lang © 2004

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism; the latter term has been corrupted to where today its use is as a powerful word weapon smear tactic to prevent Americans from discussing, realizing, and reacting to the horrific danger that Zionism presents to not only our nation, but also to the peace, safety and freedom of the entire world. And that threat can be summarized as the Zionist’s “global agenda.”

Few Americans are aware that the statist Jews that created Israel were under the direction, funding, support and protection of the Zionist, communist, Rothschild-led international banking cartel. And this group of secret, international bankers, often referred to as the Illuminati, was behind the Balfour Declaration, the Versailles Treaty, and America’s involvement in both World Wars I and II. Millions of people have been murdered, maimed, enslaved and impoverished by this secret, Zionist and communist banking cartel. And the Bush family has been on board with them and has been a key part of their operation, especially as regards their funding and support of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, since the 1920s. Libertarian Commentary on Freedom News Daily
By Nathan A. Barton © 2004

With the celebration of our 228th year of independence, there is a tendency to be both optimistic and pessimistic as to our current state of freedom, and this weekend's news provides ammo for both: half-full AND half-empty. 1- CIA withheld Iraq WMD information from Bush
Sycophancy is one of the many reasons not to let governments have any more power than absolutely necessary. Of course, a problem through the ages has always been an intelligence service that told its paymasters what they wanted to hear, or wanted them to hear, NOT what actually happened.

(Editor's note: The problem is, who decides how much power is "absolutely necessary" for government to have? Usually, it is the government! Is it safe or necessary to give anyone power over others at all? )

2- Scalia bashes activist Supreme Court
I thought that his best sentence was, "This court seems incapable of admitting that some matters — any matters — are none of its business." With judges in general, megalomania seems to be a chronic illness, and the Supremes have the greatest exposure to this, right back to John Marshall, the first Chief Justice. I am reminded that the Confederacy had a Supreme Court written into their constitution, but somehow, in four years of war, just never got around to appointing one. The mere fact that one of the nine feels it appropriate to criticize so harshly in public is a good indication of how things are deteriorating, as the country fragments more and more (Read the rest here)

The American Revolution and Iraq
By William Marina*

As Americans mark the 228th anniversary of the signing of the American Declaration of Independence this Fourth of July, two parallels between our Revolution and today’s insurgency in Iraq come to mind. One, based in myth, would lead its advocates to folly, while the other deserves serious consideration.

The mythical parallel, drawn by intellectuals as diverse as Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg and Iraq war-hawk, neo-conservative godfather Irving Kristol is what might be called “The Minority Myth.” Cited in numerous books about the Revolution is a letter written by founding father John Adams which seems to indicate that only one third of the American colonists were for the Revolution, another third were against it, and a final third were neutral or indifferent to the whole affair. The letter has been brought into favor by certain parties hoping Iraq turns to democracy, for, if true, this claim would suggest that the current lack of consensus on democracy in Iraq does not foretell defeat of the efforts to impose it there.
