Banish Bush
To Gitmo The French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was banished to the island of Elba for his misdeeds. We have Guantanamo, a section of Southeast Cuba originally set up to protect shipping from pirates in the Windward Passage and commonly known to its military inhabitants as "Gitmo." There are 193 nations in the world. The United States of America has a military presence in about 137 of these with more than 700 military bases to protect our "national interests," whatever that means. The rest are probably the targets of CIA clandestine operations. President George W. Bush says; "We are not an empire." And the public wonders why people hate us. (Read the rest here)
Voting
and Accountability I now firmly believe that voting is pointless. Although Ive been a loyal Republican for forty years, and have voted in all elections with the exception of the 14 years following Richard M. Nixons resignation from office under the threat of impeachment, I reiterate that there isnt a dimes worth of difference between Democrats and Republicans, or between Bush and Kerry. But if one must continue to yield to the bad habit of voting, founded as always upon the principle of choosing the lesser of two evils, then by all means, vote for John Kerry. Heres why voting for Kerry is better than four more years of Bush. The extremely disquieting rise to the super dictatorship-style power of George Bush not only parallels that of Adolf Hitler, but their endgames are exactly the same - the creation of a one world government New World Order. Additionally, and even more disturbing, are the revelations I have pointed out in this space that irrevocably link President George W. Bushs grandfather, former Senator Prescott Bush, to Adolf Hitler and his Nazis as their primary funding and industrial support through the Bush family control and involvement in Brown Brothers, Harriman, the Union Banking Corporation, and the Hamburg Amerika Line. Clearly, this Nazi connection in our nations White House must be forever broken! (Read the rest here)

9/11 or Farce and Hype 7-11 The debut of Michael Moores film Fahrenheit 9/11 juxtaposed with the turnover of power to the Iraqis by the coalition authority in Baghdad represent the reality and the fiction of the Iraq War. But which is which? In less time than it takes to speed to the corner 7-11 and buy a chili-cheese dog and a six-pack, the coalition hastily and secretively handed over full sovereignty to Iraqi Prime Minister without the Iraqi people even knowing about it. In a 5-minute ceremony attended by only a few selected officials and journalists, held in the fortified U.S.-controlled green zone, kept secret from even the coalition authoritys senior staff and not shown on Iraqi television, the surprise transfer of power was accomplished two days ahead of schedule. U.S. policymakers were concerned that insurgent attacks timed to coincide with the scheduled date of the transfer would have spoiled the press coverage of the changeover. The timing, secrecy and intense security surrounding the ceremony are the best indicators of just how much the security situation in Iraq has deteriorated in the face of a worsening insurgency and how little control the United States and the new Iraqi government have over events in Iraq.
