Insanity
Defense Has No Place in a Free Society John W. Hinckley Jr., who in 1982 was acquitted by reason of insanity in his attempt to assassinate President Ronald Reagan, has been granted court permission to have unsupervised visits with his parents. Hinckley has been held in St. Elizabeths Mental Hospital in Washington, D.C., for more than 20 years. Hed been previously granted only supervised visits. Of course it doesn't make sense. It's crazy, insane, something a normal person would not expect or want to accept. But that is exactly what happens. Last year, fiscal 2003, Americans fortunate enough to have a job sent eighty-two billion dollars of their sweat equity to the federal government believing they were contributing to the Social Security supplemental retirement insurance program. And what did we get for it? (Read the rest here) Special Features Keep
