The President doesn’t have any Constitutional Authority over the Economy
By Robert Greenslade © Nitwit Press

According to democrats and their willing accomplices in the press, President Bush is single-handedly responsible for the worst economy since the ice ages. This inference suggests that the Constitution vests the office of the president with some level of authority over the economy. If the American people were more constitutionally astute, and the press was doing its job, the democrats could never get away with such a shameless distortion of the Constitution because there is not a single provision in the document that grants the President any general authority over the economy.

From a constitutional standpoint, the President is merely the head of one of the 3 branches of the federal government. He is not the ruler or president of a single nation because the Constitution only established a partial union between the several States. Under our constitutional system of government, the powers of the President are more fiction than fact because they are not as extensive as many believe. (Read the rest here)

Wars Of Independence -
And Lives Of Slavery

By Dorothy Anne Seese

The history of man is the history of war, and the history of war is the history of mankind.

It is little wonder that the old cliche "might makes right" came to the world's attention many centuries ago, because that is precisely how history portrays the march of mankind toward his ultimate destiny (however he imagines it).

Few, if any, of the men who have ever come to power, genuine power, have ever left well enough alone and sought to build their own nations from within. The story of man's venture around the globe is one of conquest, slaughter, brutality and the laurels, plus the spoils, that go to the victor. The problem seems to be that while things such as weapons are neutral, men are not. Building from within is a hobby after the victorious days of battle have left little else to do, thus the survivors of the wars are finally put to work creating everything from hanging gardens, great statues and enormous tombs to commemorate the glory of the ruler who made all the prosperity possible through conquest. The ruler generally leaves a subdued populace and some very dissatisfied neighbors or venture conquerors lurking over the hills somewhere. (Read the rest here)
