Recently, while reading the forum at "Strike The Root", I came across an interesting thread. Several readers were discussing whether the internet or the entertainment industry would be the victim of "the next terrorist attack", with the pretense being to stifle the free exchange of opinions and information.

I think that government could care less what we think or talk about, but greatly fear, what people can DO. Therefore: I don't think either the internet nor television will be the "victim" of the next "attack".

If one were to consider not the target, but rather the TOOL of the attack, one would find that "transportation" and the control of transportation is a prime factor in this equation.

The first attack used "airplanes", and as a result all air traffic is filtered and scrutinized, and placed under very limiting "control". I have not seen nor heard any call for legislation limiting the size nor capacity of buildings since 9/11, and therefore believe that tools rather than targets are to be limited.

In this case, the next attack will be either via land tranportation (truck or rail) or ship with the target being some other high profile location, and only for the purpose of drawing attention to the tool. Thus another form of transportation will be handed to government to control in it's entirety.

When any government can attain complete control over the ability to travel in any country, they have attained complete control over all that exists in that country, and more importantly the ability to enter or leave that country.

If the US is actively working towards becoming a slave or police state, wouldn't it make perfect sense to STOP anyone/everyone and anything/everything from entering or more importantly leaving the US? Given this, is it any surprise that large corporate concerns are already leaving in droves BEFORE they've been locked in, and while it's still legal to do so?

Let me ask this: when the US economy collapses, will all those with financial resources attempt to go elsewhere to avoid the instabilities of such a place?

If all means of transportation are "controlled", how will these people do this?

Will you, at some point in your future, be forced to make a decision as to whether you and your family would be better served by staying here(in the US) or making the trek across many miles to escape to Mexico or possibly Canada, bringing with you only what you can carry?

As my friend Elias from the mental militia would say, mind what you think!
