17,2003 Was it not the Bush administration that told us some months ago that the oil resources in Iraq would be used to pay part of the expenses for this war? Why are we importing oil into Iraq and why is the company we are buying it from the same company VP Dick Cheney was CEO of before the 2000 election? Or could it be he is still in their employ? Halliburton has so far received more than $1.4 billion for work in Iraq to repair and restore the country's oil industry under a no-competition contract issued in March. For those of you sporting a public school education, "no-competition" means this contract was given to Halliburton/Kellogg, Brown and Root without them having to go through the bid process to find the most ecconomical contractor. In other words ole Dubya and Dicky are taking care of the oil industry boys-especially the ones who they formerly worked for. Or could
it be the President and the VP actually work for the oil industry now?
That sure would explain all the lies about WMDs and all the other
crap that has been spewing from the Casa Blanco. This would mean that Halliburton/Kellogg, Brown and Root was charging 90 cents per gallon for delivering fuel to an army that could have been buying that fuel for 71 cents locally. Something is really wrong with this piece of chicanery! If your heart is up to a real jolt, just see if you can find out how much of the 87 billion asked for by this bunch of crooks to continue this war and the madness of importing oil into Iraq. We tried to find it for you, but nobody's talking about that sort of thing for publication. Kind of takes the humor out of the old story about selling a refrigerator to an Eskimo. But then again, there are a lot of people who think they cannot live without government.... How about
you? |
