Editorials Having withdrawn as a potential candidate for the Libertarian Party presidential nomination (or any other nomination, for that matter), the next logical step is to tell the world -- as much of it as I can reach -- who I think is the best remaining would-be nominee. And I will. Directly. But first, it's important to get a few things straight about America's history and the old saw about "wasting" your vote. (Read the rest here)
Most Americans would take umbrage at the suggestion that they are serfs rather than citizens of the United States. But that just shows how far removed from political reality they are. How many people would be surprised to learn that the government can take their homes if it decides that some other use of the property say, a Wal-Mart will bring in more tax revenue. Hypocrisy

I cant remember how many years ago I penned that observation, but
I do know I hate hypocrisy wherever I find it, and most particularly when
I find it in me.

York Times - Trying, But Wrong Again On Thursday, October 9, the New York Times published an editorial titled "It's Even Worse Than You Think" written by Howell E. Jackson, professor at Harvard Law School. It was a good article considering that it came from a lawyer who obviously had not done much research on the Social Security problem and accepts many of the federal government's story lines at face value. Professor Jackson deserves a "C" for effort. Let's look

AAPS DOCTORS: Sen. Kerry owes 48 million pain patients an apology Dems dont feel your pain
Washington, DC Kathryn Serkes, policy counsel for the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), issued the following statement in response to comments made by Sen. John Kerry during the Democratic debate on October 9, 2003:
Sen. Kerry owes an apology to the more than 48 million Americans who suffer chronic pain. Few of them would see the humor in his flippant remarks about a desperate patients attempts to relieve a devastating medical condition nor do we. (Read the rest here) (Editor's Note: While we at "The Price of Liberty" do not support drug prohibition in any form, we find the efforts of this organiation to combat the persecution of doctors well worth reporting and supporting. If we lose even the imperfect mechanism we currently have for treating chronic pain, the entire insanity is escalated and we all lose. )
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America (Declaration of Independence) states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their justs powers from the consent of the governed." This "Declaration of Independence" was the 13 Colonies justification to the world as to why they were no longer under the lawful authority of England. That being the case, and the statement that "Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their jurst powers from the consent of the governed, how then is that consent obtained from each individual in this country today?
