Editorials Thank you for a wonderful first week! Your interest and your support have been terrific and most appreciated. We've had more than 100 visitors a day, except for Saturday, and I've been told that is remarkable for such a new site. Our purpose in doing this does not include making money (though we have no objection to those who do), or becoming famous. Our heartfelt desire is to help, by whatever means possible, the spread of ideas and information that will lead people to seek liberty rather than slavery, to help them understand their options and the differences between them. We want to give opportunity to ordinary people who have good ideas and sound advice for others on this journey. (Read the rest here)
Political correctness, feminization, dependence on whiz-bang weaponry and a subsequent lack of training are dragging our military into a total state of ineptness. Since WW II we have not fought an enemy who possessed our military resources, yet there are no victories in the win column. I know there are those who will point to the first Gulf War but if that was in fact a victory, why are we re-fighting that war these 12 years later? Politics in the military has always been a problem, but with the current PC crowd and the feminists having enough clout to influence policy, the total decay has begun. I love entertainment awards shows. It's probably a "girl thing", but I freely admit I enjoy hearing the Hollywood gossip, and that I really like seeing the clothes and the jewels. It's also a lot of fun for me to see the real person behind some of my favorite characters. Of course, I'm well aware that these awards shows are doing nothing more or less than rewarding people for their ability to make us believe something that isn't true. The actors do their utmost to get us to care about people that don't exist. The writers work to make up stories that are believable but completely untrue. Editors and special effects technicians take the false and mundane and make it look true and spectacular. Directors and producers work to choreograph and ensure the scenes come together and the show goes on as planned. (Read the rest here)

War
And Consequences The war in Iraq is a popular subject of debate in almost all venues today. The shills for government, otherwise known as the media, perpetuate the myth of the necessity of war. Over the next few weeks we here at Price Of Liberty would like to examine several treatises on the subject. Is it necessary and who exactly benefits when war is conducted by the State? This week our article for discussion in our Forum will be the work of Randolph Bourne, written in 1917, titled, War is the Health of the State. Think not only of the time this work was written but also how it pertains to the circumstances of today. Join the discussion in the forum by clicking here!
